Pete Prisco (CBS Sports Senior NFL Columnist ): I think I was wrong about Kelvin Benjamin

Benjamin's hands and route running have been impressive, but what is even more impressive is how all the DBs that have faced him have gotten frustrated defending him.

DBs will begin with the frustration of not being able to effectively defend him at the start of the season, and by the end with all the tape on him DBs will go into games fearing him before the game even starts.

KB needs to be ready for cheap shots when the ball is not even coming to him. Roman Harper should be able to prepare him for that in practice lol. Harper knows all about cheap shots on receivers to try to get them off their game.

Next years draft should focus on getting came more protection and weapons. You can never have too many weapons. Kelvin is a good start. Getting a smaller wide out with 4.3 speed would be ideal.

I do agree with your main point though.  I think we should target another receiver in next year's draft in the top 2 or 3 rounds.  A guy with actual potential and not just a late round project.  Having Benjamin here to be the guy that just went through what he'd be going to go through would be invaluable.

He was right about Chris Johnson when he had his talk radio show in Jacksonville. I mean he raved about him and how he was a star. He was right until Chris got content with the paycheck.

I think a lot of people are surprised.

Granted, I never watched any FSU games.

I thought he would take some time, but his hands are looking pretty good off the bat.

i agree with this post.  benjamin's hands have been A+.  just preseason, but we might have hit the jackpot with this kid.  he just looks legit out there.

BPA. Seems very possible we don't take a tackle or WR early next year. I'd rather have secondary early anyways. A speedy guy in the mid-rounds would be great though.

Benjamin is going to happen.

Cooks is an over-rated midget begging to get hurt...and he will.

We'll see. Cooks has been looking pretty damn good too so far. Some called him the next Smitty and he's been looking the part so far. Maybe he won't be as durable, but I thin the real test will be what he does when Brees retires. Smitty put up the bulk of his numbers with mediocre QBs (I love Jake, but let's be honest, he only had a few good years).
