Someone earlier brought up Hill's college stats.

Didn't Bersin only have 4 more catches (32) and @150 less yards his senior year than Hill against the weak competition of Wofford's schedule?

What about TDs and QB talent? Bersin does everything better than AE. Including blocking. Which for us means quite a bit.

Listen. I would love to have the best WR corp. in the league. Who wouldn't. But...until Bersin is given a chance to prove himself, we don't know what he can do.

That is the rub. Will he get the opportunity? If not. Then fugging bring in Hill. At least the kids who are never happy will have something to crow over.

Also, for arguments sake. At this point in time. We don't know how good Bersin can be. There is a chance that given the opportunity, he could outshine Avant and Cotch. That may be asking too much. But hellz, why not?

Yes we are... KB, Avant, Cotchery, Bersin, and Brown are the best WRs this team has had since Smith, Muhammad, and Proehl..

How many catches have avant and cotchery caught this preseason? And bersin is an undrafted player we dont really know much about yet. our wrs are still below average.

The Bersin story is a great story, but we aren't in the storytelling business we are in the football business. If you are going to have a WR4 it might as well be a guy with huge upside instead of the guy that just makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Let's be honest, neither would see the field much this year unless there are several injuries

I will take a WR4 that runs great routes, catches everything thrown to him, and has shown promise in the preseason.....over a tall and fast WR who has stone hands and can't catch.

 

You guys are WAY too enamored by height and speed combinations......if you can't catch the damn ball, then you are a shitty WR.  Plain and simple.

      Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.

      Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
