Shula = Worst offensive mind in the history of ever.

Gettleman = Evil man that hates Cam more than life and absolutely refuses to get weapons for Cam. He calls his philosophy the "final solution".

Rivera : Puppet and figurehead, will revert to punting on 3rd downs.

Other than the hyperbole, this is pretty accurate. A numerous amount of panther fans seem to think Cam is some diva who is going to blame the FO if the team is not successful. If they think that then they obviously have not been paying attention to anything Cam has said the past few years. I don't think Cam has ever once blamed his receivers or o-line for the reason why he or the team lost. He always puts it on himself.

It's not odd or a conspiracy.  We added KB, have more than a decent TE group and some veterans at the 2 & 3 WR spot.  Add another stud next year and Cam will undoubtly be surrounded by all the weapons he could ever want.  The current WR group is cheap and adding one next year as a rookie (or in FA) will be cheap as well. Put away your crazy pills...our WR corps is better this year.

Let's go to the big board. KB, Olsen, Dickson, DWill, Stewy, and Toldozer are all solid receivers. Throw in BWilly, Avant, and Cotch and Cam has plenty of quality guys to throw to.

We may not have the best receiving corp. in the league. But, Cam has plenty of targets.

Now that O-line? It may not be the worst in the league. But damm, we could sure use some help.

Alex Smith just got a 4 year $68 mil contract. That's 17 mil a year. Cam will probably make 20 mil a year. Also why is everyone scared about us being able to sign everyone? Plenty of teams have just as many talented players as us and they still keep their players. The salary cap expands, people restructure and take pay cuts. The Seahawks didn't get loose any of their core players after handing out raises.

I think we will be able to sign our young stars at some point but I feel like we will be frugal when it comes to FA signings for the near future. Also for those that keep saying we have a lot of dead money coming off the books there is a very good chance we will a good bit next year and maybe the following year also.

And regardless to what some people think the salary cap does affect the decisions every team makes, some just manage it better then others.

This is ridiculous. Winning a Super Bowl means more money for everyone than whatever paltry savings would be made on one or two contracts by tanking a season. No, they're trying to win by fielding the best team possible. We may not like some of the selections, but given what DG was handed a few years ago, it's still going to take a season or two to draft the right players and get out from underneath some big contracts (DWill...)

Anyone who believes JR is cheap proves immediately what kind of moron they are and that they know NOTHING about the Panthers.

 

He has made some bad decisions on contracts in the past (well, he let Hurney make some bad contracts in the past).  However, the Panthers have always been at the top of salary spending in the league.  He may be many things....but cheap is not one of them.
