Our oline needs to make a decision

They need to decided right now if they just want to keep playing passive and by the rules and allow our QB to get killed. Or they need to decide that they are done with being passive and are going to protect Cam at any cost. Bell got that last night when he took down a Pitt player by the mask. Yea it was 15 yards but it was not our QB for the rest of the season. Turner and Amini should take note.

Kalil gave up two sacks I believe.  On one of them he was looking over in Chandler's direction, as if he was worried if Chandler could pick up his block.  This is horrible blocking.  Cam has been sacked at least 7 times, and on pace to be sacked 52.5 times or more this year.  He already came into this season with a bum ankle and sore ribs.  By season's end, he is going to be lucky to have his arms and legs attached to his body.  Rivera better take note, and get this man real offensive lineman.  Stop being cheap.  By the way, why did Trai Turner not start the game?  Was that injury related or skill related?

why does it appear that the line blocks better for DA?  Smaller sample size?

He makes faster decisions and DA is mobile after his drop.  Cam tends to stand like a statue until someone touches him.  Of course Cam is the more accurate passer and better runner.  For Cam, we need to build a super O-line that can pretty much stone wall everyone, to compensate for Cam's tendency to stand firm in the pocket.

so do you think right now DA is more equipped to run this offense with who we have around right now?  i agree with what you said and Cam tends to wait for a guy to get open rather than anticipate when they will be open or look off the WR in general.  something he certainly needs to work on.  there were some plays though, he had no options other than try to throw it away which is still difficult with the pressure that comes up the middle.

DA has the experience to run the offense effectively.  Cam has grown considerably and has the accuracy to hit guys right in the hands whether they are covered or not.  If only Cam could be more mobile within the pocket instead of standing around.  I wouldn't sit Cam because of that.  He's a better passer that DA.  Just needs to move his feet in the pocket.

I don't think anybody could truthfuly look at last nights game and belame the line. There where plenty of time were they made a wall in front of cam and gave him adequate time to throw the ball down field or make a decision to get out of the pocket. Cam can't just sit in the pocket for minutes at a time and not expect to get sacked. Also the times that pressure came up the middle it was on Probowl center Kalil, which we shouldn't worry about because he's an allstar caliber player.

Another person to belame is the OC for not running the ball against one of the worst run defenses. Especially everytime we ran the ball we gashed them. Not saying the offensive line had a good game, but they should definetly not be the first ones to belame.

    • There's a lot of guys with all the tools you look for that could be in 2025.  Thing is, their in-game ability to take command of an offense has only shown in flashes. And they have their flaws. Carson Beck 6'4 220, above avg to great arm strength, great size, another UGA product or more? Shedeur Sanders 6'2 215, above avg arm, playmaker.. is a diva presence a legit issue? Drew Allar 6'5 240 lively, monster arm - outstanding measurables and tools.  Stuck in a bad offense/can he show more in big moments? Quinn Ewers 6'2 205, above avg arm strength, showed some iffiness - big year ahead Jalen Milroe 6'2 220, dual threat, great arm ... can he pull it together this year? Cameron Ward 6'2 225, great arm, pocket presence, can be too aggressive but has a lot to love
