What do you collect?

Right now I'm starting up a small ancient coins collection. So far I've got a 4th or 5th century late Roman bronze and a 2nd century silver denarius with Faustina Augusta I'm planning to make a necklace out of with a gold bezel

Don't know if im going to keep going

I've got 2 boxes of comics I collected in the 80's and some older ones that were given to me. None ended up being valuable enough to get rated which costs a minimum of like $20. I pulled them out so my kids could read them and they had zero interest.

I guess I collect wine for aging. And silver as a hedge/investment.

Marriott hotel points

Guns

Bourbons

Funny/cool bumper stickers (I have a large table that I stick them on in my man cave/bar)

I check into all restaurants that I eat at on yelp...not sure why I do this, but in a sense I am keeping a record or "collection" of places across the globe I eat.

When I was a kid:

Star Wars figures (in the package)

Baseball/basketball cards

Anything to do with Micheal Jordan

Ninja turtles

Pogs (who remembers those???)

I tried several:

Sports trading cards - Really into it for a while. Sold them at yard sale

Coins - Got bored after a month

Stamps - Filled up about an eighth of a page until I went, "Fuuuuuuug! Why to people do this?!"

Legos - Still have them, and K'nex. Will pass them on to Captroop Jr. someday

Scotch - I don't know if it's a collection, since I drink them. But I am compelled to try as many as possible and have about 10 different bottles at any given time.

When I can afford it, I want to collect original comic book art and pages.

    • Nfl leaders don't look at the population of just the city itself.  Charlotte has three of the top fifty combined statistical areas within a 1 to 1.5 hour drive.  Charlotte, Greensboro/WS/High Point, and Greenville Spartanburg.  Those three statistical areas include nearly 7 million people.  Other than Raleigh, the only one in the top fifty within an hour and half of raleigh is Greensboro.  So only about 4-5 million people.  Charlotte has many more people to draw from.   Also, many of the surrounding communities for Raleigh are not native born.  If memory serves, many still refer to Cary as Containment area for relocated Yankees.  One of the reasons the Canes do so well is a significant portion of the population are people who moved from Northern Areas.  Would that population translate into support for a NFL team?  Hard to say, but I see a tremendous amount of Giants/Jets jerseys in the triangle when I forced to endure the crazy traffic on 40/85.
    • This will also be prime Training Camp meltdown time on here lol. Preseason game 1 August 8th, i'm guessing camp starts around July 25-27th
