If our defense stinks again

Are we going to allow Cam to throw more? I mean our WR are playing better than we anticipated and passing the ball most of the time does not necessarily mean we cannot control TOP. We can have short passes all the way to the end zone (though this will not be ideal). I'm wondering when we are going to stop trying to rush for 1 or 2yds when it's obviously not working and try to win games the other way.

Also, I know RR likes TOP. But with the way the D is playing, why don't we come out and for the first three series, play a high tempo offense scoring quick and on every possession. After going up 21pts, we can revert to the TOP kinda of play where we make sure the play clock runs down before every snap.

Hard to play ball control when you can't move the

ball.

Hard to have a good defense when they are on the field more than 60% of the game.

Only 2 differences in this years O. Cam is a better passer and Cam can't mask how weak our rush game is.

O isn't hurting the D. They have 3rd and long and then suddenly out stud players do dumb poo. D is just weak the last 6 quarters

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
