You forgot we need to spend money we don't have

actually you're both wrong we should have signed this udfa i'm only familiar with because he's a tar heel and made him a day one starter

now the ravens have him and he only gave up 3 sacks a qb hit and 3 pressures in his last start.  some teams just have all the luck.

You could argue Bell is our most reliable lineman this season. How could you watch the games and single him out? Cam made a great point about the hurry up, it stopped the defense from rotating pass rushers. Sometimes you have to put guys in position to succeed. Tired dlineman can't beat our guys on the snap.

It should be no surprise our line graded well this week.

This is how you help an o-line and Cam.  Hell even up-tempo gets so much more done.  Cam hasn't ever thrown a pick in the hurry up.  The ball comes out faster and the lineman have the distinct advantage.  I understand the time management stuff, but we always move the rock in hurry up.

Where does thise vile psychoanalysis come from? That is a sad waste of brain power.

Aren't you doing the same thing to me?  Oh, but its ok when you do it.

This is a chat board.  We discuss theories and suppositions.  You do understand the concept don't you?

The OT have been the major issue that is where Cam gets most of his pressure, the interior has usual done well.

The pressure is up the middle.  Specifically where Silatolu is most of the times. The sack/strip was a double team between Bell and Silatolu.  It looked like Bell had outside and Sialatolu had inside.  The line split the doubleteam (inside) clean sack on Cam.

Silatolu is our worst lineman by far.  It's not even close.  I just rewatched the game and I noticed something.  We started playing better when Kalil started helping Silatolu, or when we had running back helping chipping inside.  The sack in the second half was a result of a stunt that Silatolu didn't move to pick up and the back tried to pick up and was blown up.

He is better in the running game that I thought the first time I watched the game.  He is much better at everything when he is the aggressor. But as far as pass block setting he is atrociously bad.

Trai Turner and Amini are the future

I don't get why everyone just wants some random vets. Play time is how you get better, our guards will be great, like CAM said its the most athletic he has seen. Problem for us is the tackles, they can't move.

I guarantee if Velasco replaced Amini our line would look 2 times better immediately.  Amini is horrible is pass protection.  Please watch any game this year.  He always gets pushed into Cam, he always gets beat, unless its a play where he pulling, or the line is sliding, or he is firing off the ball on the PA to sell run.

Bell is on a whole holding his own.  Even the sack strip was Amini's fault. It was a double team with Amini having the inside, and bell protecting outside.   Amini is even making Kalil look bad.

Let me say it again, please watch any game this year and watch Amini specifically in pass protection.

I've noticed the left side of the line being particularly bad at times, but I wouldn't place all the blame on Silatolu.  Bell has gotten beat just as many times.  I think a lot of it comes from those guys not having many reps with each other and struggling to build chemistry.  Compare that to Gross and Wharton who had played what must have been 100 games next to each other.

Couldn't have said it any better.

Let's just hope that Amini is shaking off some rust, because if he doesn't turn into a solid player for us then looking back that means we've managed to draft exactly zero starting caliber OL since 2011. That is just sad beyond words. Gettleman has his work cut out for him.
