Down 50 lbs!

Jackofalltrades

Recommended Posts

Just had to share, I'm down to 330 for the first time in a couple of years. I hit 380 and decided things had to change.

I lost 40 lbs and then hit a plateau, but my new job stoked the fire and I lost another 10 in the last month without really trying.

300 is my next goal, I'm re-motivated so I think it's doable!

Pics?

Keep it going! My former boss went from 280 pounds to 180 in 9 months when he turned 40. He went nuts! P90x, totally changed his diet, etc. Now he's a fitness buff. Does the Iron Man triathlon, runs a couple marathons every year. It's never too late to make a big change, and no goal is ever too big if you really dedicate yourself to it.

yeah, I hit 310+ a few years ago and knew I had to change, I got down to195 in less than a year and that was hard to do. 190 is supposedly the weight I should be to not be obese by Government standards...lol. I maintain about 220 and I'm okay with that.

Congrats and keep it up!

Thanks.

Low carb has been the method. I haven't had a soft drink or sweet tea in 6 months and I really don't miss either. Also, for the first time in 8 years I'm at a job where I'm on my feet moving all day.

My BP is good, my labs are good, my Dr. pulled me off a couple of daily pills and I feel the beat I have in a looooooong time. I still have a ways to go but this morning it was awesome taking my belt to the very last hole.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
