Cotch Killed Us

coming into this game he was 100% on targets and catches....  yea hs drops were big, but nowhere near as Benji's drops this season or his push off, quit making stupid ass threads, you probably have never played a down of football in your life, you have no idea what it's like to play in a game.

his drop in the end zone was as big as benjis push because both took away a touchdown

kelvin is a rookie who a lot of people questioned his catch ability coming out of FSU, and he's done nothing but blow people away. He had drops last week but there's a difference, we won the game, as KB's drops didn't come in crucial scenarios per se.

Cotchery dropped a game winner.

:ss: would've caught it. Go ahead and tee off on me, but he would have and you know it

steve's dropped gimme touchdown passes before.  the gamewinner in chicago in 2012 and in 2013 against arizona when a fastball hit him in the hands at the goal line and he dropped it.

again unless steve can play safety him being here wouldn't have changed anything yesterday.  there is no guarantee that any receiver would catch that ball and it doesn't matter who it is.

You don't get to do that. You wanted Lafell gone as much as anyone.

He is finding a nice niche in New England. I am one of the very few people who defended him. ESPN just called him New England's most talented receiver!

Cotchery and Avant are solid here and have not been dropping the ball. We could upgrade but this offense spreads the ball around and they both know the role.

Steve was usually money at over-the-shoulder deep throws like yesterday's, but less likely to bring it in if it was a fastball say, over the middle. Those are the drops I recall at least.

Cotch killed us?  Why are we even talking about Cotch, who's extremely sure handed, dropping a couple?  Our offense put up 34 points in regulation.  When you put up that many points, you should win... especially us.  Cotch didn't cause this to end in a tie, nor did our offense as a whole...

    • in starts, he has played better, been more efficient and outproduced Bryce by virtually every statistical metric that exists in 2025.  And has the 2 head to heads over Carolina.  I mean, your jaw should hit the floor.  But not for the reason you are implying.  That freaking stings.  Denying these realities isn't going to help the Panthers build a better team going forward.
    • He is basically having a polar opposite rookie season than Bryce. 4-3 as a starter on a very bad team.  68% for 237 passing yards and 19 rush per game. 9 TDs,  6 TOs in his starts.  and folks acknowledge the surprisingly play because no one thought poo of the random 2nd rounder and he is player better as a rookie thus far than so many prized picks did as a rookies (not just Bryce but a boatload of dudes).   It's only a sour issue to give someone props because he is a Saint and of course the Bryce thing.  It's like giving the TE in Clev props for having near identical production as the chosen one Tyler Warren.  Fannin is having a great rookie season in a very bad spot.
    • This is a very weird take. The reason Shough doesn't deserve it is because he's only started 7 games. He's doing crazy well for a rookie and out playing plenty of vets with a worse roster. He's waaay above league average in a number of categories during his starts and he passes the eye test in game by making plays. Meanwhile Bryce Young had one of the worst rookie seasons of all time. Still TMac deserves it more. It's only been 7 games for Shough so he doesn't deserve any awards. Even if he gets to 9 he doesn't.
