I know management don't pay me for this, but...

As armchair Panthers coach, here is what I need to see next game.  Firstly, start KK alongside Star.  How many big runs will there be and how many defensive snaps with no pressure on the QB do we have to stand before this coaching staff get a clue?  Your best defensive lineman right now is coming off the bench?  Again, let Mr. Iverson drive this point home for a brother...

Secondly, I'm going to need Bersin to be moved up to the third receiver slot.  Dude is a chain mover and is likely a threat in the redzone.  We will need to put up points to counteract this defense of ours this year.  There's no Greg Hardy getting 4 sacks a game for us right now, and our corners are getting lit up like a Christmas tree.  These boys have me craving to get Norman out there as soon as possible.  I haven't felt that way about Norman since we drafted him.  So we need to keep the chains moving on offense, and we need to score a lot of touchdowns.  Along with Bersin, I'm going to need to see Swolebones out there. (The Panthers might be the only team who keeps their game changing players on the bench)  Finally, I'm going to need to see just a little more Riverboat out there.  Don't be afraid to throw caution to the wind every once in a while Rivera.  Go make a name for yourself.

Norman is a better corner than White i dont care what anybody says. You cant chase a receiver 40 yards down field and not turn and look for the ball. That is inexcusable for a DB and something i thought he would improve on but he continues to do it, its a touchdown waiting to happen.  This year Norman has got to get his poo together, we actually need it now more than ever. Cant wait anymore.

I disagree with the Bersin comment.  Avant played very well today, and while Cotchery dropped a couple today, he has played well for the most part this year.  Can't see Bersin being better than either of them at this point in their respective careers.

Ron did gamble today, he went for it on a fourth and two towards the end of regulation, when the majority of coaches would have played it safe.

I actually see a lot of corners in this generation doing that.

He should have took a bigger gamble in OT, and gone for the win.

Godfrey needs to be cut. We could tape a jersey to a pilon and get the same amount of production. You can't tell me there isn't a player sitting on his couch that wouldn't be able to contribute more than Godfrey

Lol I was just about to make a post on godfrey

This is what Newton posted

Wild card: Now we know why rookie Bene' Benwikere won the starting nickel corner job over veteran Charles Godfrey. With Benwikere (ankle) out, Godfrey struggled to contain. In the first half alone, he gave up catches of 15, 10, 6 and 7 yards, all on third-down conversions. At the start of the second half, Godfrey was called for pass interference on third-and-6. Just not a good day for the former safety, who moved to corner during the offseason.

Put white at safety since he likes to hit and Harper apparently doesn't

I don't know if the huddle has prejudiced me or what, but it seemed like he was around every bad play messing up.

    • I'm probably one of those posters, but I make those posts because there are too many things going on that don't make sense. For instance, how does a RB that does something that hasn't been done in 14 years immediately get reverted back to 2nd string, and it takes a leadership council to make him the starter when he's averaging 3x the YPC? Your average fan shouldn't be screaming that for 2 weeks before the coach sees it. And that's one of many.  What you're seeing is frustration that we could be better, that we should be better, if our owner, FO, and coaches could do things that are so painfully obvious to even the most basic fan
    • Cowboys. Patriots. Couldn't ask for two bigger villains.
    • I think we're all struggling with what things are right now and what they have been. It's like getting ready to have bandages removed after a long period of injury. The healing, the new growth, they aren't going to be pretty, there's going to be some ongoing issues for a while at best and there's every chance that we're going to have to go back into the bandage situation all over again. And that sucks. But it's also a place where maybe, just maybe, the recovery is going to finally start happening. The bad days will be getting behind us.  It's not going to happen this year, but I believe from what I see that this year is showing that improvement. We focus on the QB because that's what all the pundits focus on, because it's the flashiest and most heralded position on the field. No one wants to put out a tweet about how a center is holding down their job and anchoring a line. They rarely celebrate that blocking tight end or special teams gunner. That fourth CB on the depth chart? Not a mention. And yet, those guys are the kind that we've been building here, we're building the lunch pail guys AND finding some future stars.  Is Bryce one of them? Might be a cornerstone of the team in the future as the second QB, might somehow just show out to end the season. Might flame out like many expect. But if that uncertainty is all we concentrate on, we're just going to miserably look at this team and maybe miss out on some solid green shoots that are finally beginning to poke through into the sunlight.
