UPDATED THROUGH WEEK 9

Well, we all know this wasn't a very good week for our receiving corps, so let's take a look at how their production now stands relative to the other members of my weekly group.

Notable Developments:

  • Smith's production continues to dip, but there's no doubt he's exceeded most of our expectations. (Stupid us.)
  • Lafell closes the gap even further on Benjamin and now has the same # of TDs. (But man, he had some ugly drops Sunday too.)
  • Avant is disappearing, and is now surpassed by Nicks.
  • Ginn had a couple catches Sunday including an awesome sideline grab. Looks like Bersin might be on the bottom of this list soon.
  • Cotchery still doesn't have a TD. Is this the "Big Ben Red Zone Touch Effect?"

UPDATED THROUGH WEEK 10

Developments:

  • Benjamin's 2 late TDs give him the most in the group.
  • Smith continues to level out.
  • Avant continues to disappear (despite a nice 3rd down catch early Mon night).
  • Cotchery...wait for it...has zero TDs.
  • Lafell and Nicks had byes.
  • MOST EXCITING DEVELOPMENT: We have a new receiver in the group!!!

While the drops are incredibly frustrating, looking at the stats he is far exceeding the expectations I had for him. nearly 700 yards and 7 TDs? I was not expecting that. Those are solid stats for an entire Rookie WR campaign, let alone 10 games in.

If he would stop dropping the damn ball I'd be in love.

Please continue to update weekly. Very nice and convenient to see it all in one chart rather than scouring the net and hitting back over and over.

UPDATED THROUGH WEEK 11

Developments:

  • Benjamin leads the group in TDs, receptions, and has almost caught Smith in YPG.
  • Brown surpasses Avant in YPG despite fewer opportunities.
  • Cotchery is now the only Panthers WR (not counting Webb) to not have a TD. Wow.

And my gosh, have you seen how athletic Brandon Lafell looks lately?
