Weren't they in a close battle for the starting job in Training camp? ?

Didn't Dave extent him??

Foucault is terrible at run blocking, but less so at pass blocking imo. Chandler is an abomination. He should be cut at the end of the season. I don't care we owe him. I just can't watch him play anymore. I want to block his image out on my tv screen. He offends my eyes and drains my enjoyment of football. I would rather bring back Nakamura and Matt Willig than have Chandler on this team for another game.

It shows you what limited resources will get you.

There are not 32 starting caliber LTs in the nfl. When you scrimp, you end up with a bunch of shitty options.

Unless you draft accordingly. But who would ever draft for need? Not Gettleman.

Lets get a project DE, a project Safety, a RB who is there for mainly special teams that you end up cutting. Why would we need to stock up on OL talent in an OL deep draft because we need it?

Justin Britt, Seantrel Henderson, and Zach Fulton would have been nice to add with Kalil and Turner. Silatolu, Chandler, and Bell would be depth where they belong.

A season is won in the off season. And we had one of the worst off seasons in franchise history.

That and the mishandling of Smitty,J Gross,Mike Mitchell, etc,I'm starting to really not like Gettleman!

    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
    • Only way Canales is fired is if we are attrocious everywhere....  defense /special teams and offense..  There are enough "questions" on if BY9 is the guy that ownership wouldn't fire the coach for "just" mid qb play.  Especially with as talented a roster that has played "well enough" to win some tough football games and hang in there against the top tier of the NFL ...(mostly).   Now total team suckage..yeah .. but I don't see that happening.
