Do my eyes lie to me, or did Norman have another decent game?

I am thinking that he had a good game---not perfect mind you, but solidly good nonetheless.  He made some nice tackles and seemed to be consistently somewhere near the play, which is good. I just hope that he doesn't begin to try and do too much, and make sure that his responsibility is well accounted for before cheating to try and take care of others'.

I dare say that it appeared as though Brees didn't throw his way too often.

I like Norman, and I hope that the development of Norman Island continues.

Nope, your eyes are working. Aside from the fact he made some big plays, him getting the crowd involved and his intensity level is something this defense has been lacking. The defense was really good early in the first half before being backed up to their own end-zone. (courtesy of Cam's fumble). I fully believe Norman was a big part of that.

Lmfao. These types can't even discuss other facets of the game, without a little Cam dripping from the corners of their mouths. NORMAN did his thing. Love his grit.

aside from not sealing the edge on one of the first runs and letting ingram get a 20 yarder, Norman was great, damn near a revelation. Cason was hot garbage. White looked much better. I can't even blame white on that Graham TD, it was a perfect pass, no way to defend it.

Starters going forward should be our youth in Norman, White, and Bene when he's healthy.

Seriously??? I mentioned Cam's fumble because thats what happened to back the defense up. Didn't go in to any detail at all. I actually made a thread about Norman because of all the Cam bashing and over protecting. I think you are over exaggerating a lil bit bro.

Norman, the target of much irreverent disdain this season, deserves credit for putting a couple of good games together.  Other than a handful of notable Panthers this season, no one can really say they've had a couple of good games straight this season.

Norman (and now Stew) should be praised without backhanded compliments for this little milestone in a season on the downward spin cycle.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
