The Viking page:

"If Brian Robison isn’t salivating over the chance to tear up Mike Remmers, he should be. Then again, Robison has had some other favorable matchups this year and hasn’t always taken advantage. Robison couldn’t even consistently beat a tight end who was forced to play tackle for the Falcons after a bunch of injuries, so why should we have faith in his ability to maul Mike Remmers?"

Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer

Q: What have you seen from Carolina’s offensive line with their injuries?

A: They have but they do a good job, in my opinion they do a good job, of changing the protections probably more so than anybody this year, the different type of protections you get – the two-back protections, Mike protections, slide protections – they’ve got quite a few. I think they’re doing good things with their offensive line and I know they’ve had some injuries in there but they seem to battle pretty good. I think [Cam] Newton helps in some of his mobility too, some of the things he can do.

Q: How much does it help to have had Mike Remmers in here and see what he can do now that he’s starting for them this week?

A: I don’t know that it gives us an advantage. I know our guys have gone up against him a few times. He knows our guys too. It’s always a two-way street.

How bad does our coaching staff look now after singing high praises for Foucault, but he can't even beat out Chris Scott and Mike Remmers?

And also putting Andrew McDonald on the practice squad, who was ahead of Foucault with NFL speed and allowing him to get claimed by Seattle. That is all on Gettleman. He has some made some TERRIBLE decisions this year, you would this is his first year managing an NFL team.

GM doesn't set the depth chart.  The coach does.

As for McDonald, Seattle dumped him and no one's picked him up since.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
