regardless of the outcome of this game, Rivera needs to be fired tomorrow.

That's basically all we get is talk... How they're going to watch the tape and fix what's wrong... How they're going to put the players in the best possible places to succeed... And then after we lose Ron drives a bus over the team.

You fans must not forget that its a process and part of the process is running the players over with the Rivera Bus and then backing up over them again.  Rivera is in so far over his head.

The Rivera promised land is a TOP 10 pick.  Thanks for leading us there 2 of 4 years Ron.

Good luck hiring ANY even half-way competent GM to replace him if you fire him after only a year and a half.

Does he need to be evaluated at his job?  Of course he does, just like anyone else.

But you are INSANE if you think he deserves to be fired at this point.

i mean poo people are concerned about how gettleman's approach would keep possible FAs from wanting to come here and all that.

well, what kind of message does that kind of move send to a potential A-list gm-you know, the guy who is actually responsible for drafting and signing players?  "yeah come here and inherit our cap shitshow and if you can't get it fixed in less than two years we'll fire your ass".

But it works in Madden...

Sorry to break the news to you.. but it is

Well, I didnt mean it in the sense that our discussions create actions, but the idea that they could be legitimate give them value and make worth discussing.

If what we discuss aren't real possibilities then it makes it worthless.

Again, I'm not sure what the exact quote was, but I wasn't inferring he should be fired. My agreement was with the idea that he should be closely evaluated and held accountable for the horrible moves he made leading up to this season.

The cap isn't an excuse for all that he did. If he has an equally shitty offseason this summer then it may be time for him to see the turk.

OK, fair enough.

But a good number of the follow-up posts agreeing with you were.

Richardson has a history of not wanting to pay two coaches at the same time. Richardson has an advantage with PSL's if season ticket holders don't pay for tickets they release their rights. I wouldn't mind seeing a change but I think offensive coaching changes are more likely.
