the kid makes plays. last week a shoe string tackle away from a punt return td. today a shoestring tackle away from a punt return td. a beautiful catch to set up our go ahead touchdown!!! proud of the kid.

Say what you will about Bersin but he has been a good asset for us.  Most of the time when he catches the ball is it solid control.  

 

As far as the returns go.  He gets postive yards.  Because we have boneheads that can't see to stop having penalties on his returns isn't his fault.

Was literally just thinking this, granted it was 10000x less intense. But still a thought.

I wanted him to succeed simply because of his story, but he is very reliable when called upon.  As a punt returner is smart and simply moves the ball north, and that is exactly what we need at this point.

I'm of the opinion that he intentionally put the ball on the ground while in his grasp. Watch the replay and you'll see he only got one foot down and his momentum would have carried his shoulder OB. By putting the ball down, he was then down before his shoulder landed OB.

 

Underrated and under appreciated if you don't see that part of it.
