Stewart...

Everyone likes a potential home run threat which is why some wouldn't mind D-Will getting 5-7 carries, I wouldn't either. Preferably on 2nd and short where you have a run/pass option.

D-Will needs a pretty big hole to be effective at all. Our new revamped Oline just may be up to the task.

I am a supporter of Jstew starting... but the only thing I don't like about Dwill is his contract.

A big reason that Stewart is having the success he's having is the continuity of the line that past few games. We have even seen a difference in Cam's numbers.

We were not able to run the ball effectively this year because of our issues at Oline. Don't think that Deangelo wouldn't do well behind the same group of guys.

Stewart was making something out of nothing before the Oline started playing better. It wasnt on the level it is now, but was still better than Dlo. The difference between the 2 is patience vs hesitation. Dlo hesitates and make little to no gain. Stew waits and finds his hole with power. Dlo is the worst RB on the team. I've got nothing but love for the guy, but hes done.

I don't think he gets enough credit of late...

3 starts as the featured RB. 3 straight wins.

Run game is consistent. He is grinding out yards all game long just he he did in the rare windows when Williams was healthy wasting all the snaps.

Scary part is....Williams likely will be healthy enough to suit up next week. Stewart reps go down. That ain't good. I don't think we win the last 3 if Williams was healthy.

Pretty ironic coming from Dwill's #1 fan.

This is the dangerous logic people fear Ron will use.

No, Williams won't have success. People act like the OL is suddenly opening up huge holes. It isn't. That 30 yard run Stewart made to seal the win? Williams doesn't make. Stewart still makes something out of nothing, breaks tackles and shows patience letting no holes suddenly create....

Agreed.

Stewart just runs physical....breaking tackles.  DLo does not.

This OL is giving Stew creases and he is making th emost of them.  DLo needs a big hole to be successful.

Even with the amount of carries Stew got yesterday, I still felt like we didn't give him the ball enough.

I agree. I think when Tolbert comes in we lack something.

I do wish Ron would give Fozzy a chance. I thought after the Saints game when he broke one he might of earned a snap or two more

I agree.  Fozzy is explosive in the open field.  I just think he hasn't caught on anywhere since his knee injury ended his senior season in college.  I have no problem with him taking on what DWill's "slasher" role is supposed to be.

as long as stew is getting a minimum of 20 carries, i don't think it matters too much. i do think d-will can spell stewart more effectively than tolbert can, however i believe fozzy is a better change of pace back behind stewart. d-will will be gone next year, and i think it's time to get used to playing without him.

This thread should be about Remmers and Norwell as much as it's about Stewart.

Stewart is clearly the better RB at this point, but don't discount that Williams only had the benefit of running behind Chandler for 11 weeks, not this new and improved line.

I wouldn't cry if we cut Williams this evening. I want Stewart getting 25 touches and Fozzy getting the rest. But it's still a valid point.
