Julio Jones - the problem child

We're talking receivers man. It can't be that hard to comprehend. He has played well against talented receivers in the NFL. These wrs on "dysfunctional" squads have no problem lighting up other cbs. He's played well point blank period. You just seem stubborn and have seemed that way since you were defending Antoine freaking Cason getting burned over and over again.

And yes he does have a ways to go. But I'm hoping you don't find other cherry picked caveats if/when his improvement does occur.

Yes we are talking WRs....but WRs are dependent on a lot. Hence why Johnny Football and the disaster that is the NFCS matters when talking about it all....

I want Norman to improve. Issue always becomes the board likes to hype guys and If you take a simmer down approach you basically get the hater label.

And overall I haven't been a fan of Norman bc be overall has been dumb....and still plays dumb. However he is becoming a better CB. I like that. I don't think he has done enough yet to crown him what many are is all

I feel you.

But I'm not crowning him anything so that point is moot as far as me. He can be a mind numbing bonehead at times and there's no wasy anyone caan logically argue that. My only point since forever is he has played well against some good, talented receivers with pds etc. i don't think that point can be logically argued either.

In the two games before and after the Carolina game, Jones had 27 catches for 434 yards. Against Carolina he had 6 catches on 11 targets for 59 yards.

Against those other teams an average of 16 yards a catch, against Carolina under 10. Ryan also had a higher QB rating throwing to Jones in those 4 games then against Carolina and Jones also had a higher catch percentage as well.

Stats can be shaped to support most arguments. Doesn't matter what Jones has done the last three weeks, had big success in games around the last Carolina game as well and still got shut down for the most part.

Lol. I hope all this Norman talk is a joke. Julio is playing the best out of any WR in the NFL right now, only OBJ is even comparable. You have literally nobody that can stop him. Not in the dome.

6 catches, 59 yards against Norman. Were you not watching?

Lol @ you thinking so no-name took him all game

Lol @ you not realizing he's been playing like a whole different player since

Lol @ you not knowing this is in a dome, where he plays much better

Lol @ you not watching last week when, in a dome, at 50% health, with no practice time. he put up 107 yards against Keenan Lewis single coverage, a CB better than any on your roster

Just lol @ this whole post, a very embarrassing one for you my man. You know nothing.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
