"Carolina Panthers will beat Atlanta Falcons for NFC South title"

He praises Shula a bit too much in the article and I have to begrudgingly admit Shula has done a better job lately. I still want nothing more for this offsrason than his departure, but I have to give it to him. He's been adequate lately. There's been noticeable improvement in the play calling (exclusive of player execution).

The premise of this is funny because Cam spent most of the Bengals game playing from within a stationary pocket and it was one of his best games as a passer. The Bengals game is also when the injury bug first bit our OL and most on Cam's struggles in the following weeks could be directly attributed to that. Our line solidified and Cam started playing better again, funny how that works isn't it?

eh. he made it sound kind of like cam is a huge dumb dumb and we have to simplfy plays so he can make the proper read.

thats retarded.

meh, it depends on how you read it and your interpretation of what he meant by simplify. i read it as streamlining things...not dumbing down.

this is basically the third time they've had a "win and get in" game.

They've not done what they needed to do in either.

1998: Didn't score enough points against Saints to win tiebreaker against Packers. Wouldn't have mattered anyway.

2004: Jake had his worst game ever as a Panther against the Saints

I have no optimism at all. That said, I'll be at the dome.

Same thing.

Oline plays better = Shulas doesn't suck,  Cam is playing better

Silatolu and Chandler playing =  Shula is the worst OC in history, Cam is digressing.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
