Official Prediction Thread - Cardinals

I predict the Panthers will try to sit on a 3 point lead going into the 4th only to have the Cardinals take the lead. I then predict Rivera will then change course and become ultra aggressive after it becomes apparent that Carolina needs more than 3 points to win the game.

Bruce Arians is going to put Lindley in plays that suit him. I expect early success for the Cardinals and a tight game. There will be two battles, the struggle on the field and the struggle in their minds. You could see either side unravel through mental errors. I think this game will be decided by mistakes, penalties, and turnovers. One team will win by 2+ touchdowns and the other will leave demoralized.

34-10

i feel i need to clarify how this would happen.

i don't see our offense scoring more than 21 because shula, but i think that short fields thanks to the D are going to make those points come kind of easy.

i do see charles johnson & co. really pushing lindley while he panics looking for people that won't be open because norman/benwikere shutting things down on the outside while keek and TD are shutting stuff down in the middle of the field and lindley continues to stare down his receivers giving our coverage guys ample opportunities to pick him off and return a couple.

we have two games of tape on lindley now and i think he gets the matt ryan treatment.

Without Daryl Washington, they do not have a proper spy to place on Cam. Cam gets his revenge and runs wild off the right side away from Calais Campbell and following Mike Remmers.

Cam Newton - 17/29 - 230 yards, 2 tds. 8 rushes, 65 yards, 1 td

Panthers win 34 - 16

Keys to the game, SCORE EARLY then pin your ears back on Defense (aka, stay aggressive).

You're not sure what the conditions are going to be like by the end of the game for you to have to try to make something happen then. More than anything, you need to get a few scores early.

Carolina 23

Arizona 10

Gano: 3/3 (24, 25, 33)

Cam 186 passing 1 TD, 46 rushing 1 TD

Stewart: 96 yards

Arizona's DEF and ST will keep the game close into the fourth quarter as we fail multiple times in the red zone.  Ten fourth quarter points aided by a Lindley mistake will seal the deal.

I think we lose in a nail biter, 17-16 cardinals

this game scares me. All the hype we've been getting from the media, expecting us to crush the cardinals.

that on top of rivera and cam's record in primetime games, I think we're like 2-10 including the playoff game last year against SF.

arians has nothing to lose. He's going to pull out multiple trick plays from his playbook which unfortunately the panthers will get beat on a few occasions.

I hope I'm wrong.

Arizona has nothing to lose??

I'd say that crown in the playoffs this year belongs to a team with a record that is 7-8-1......How's that for playing in showdown with all winning teams for nothing to lose?

We have nothing to lose and a complete shock and embarrassment to the whole NFL to gain if we keep winning..

That said,

Score today..........Panthers 28 Arizona 17.......

Mark it down..............we score 2 TDs on Defense and Arizona doesn't get their final TD until late in the game when its over and we have second string in on the D..........

You know what?

If we would just happen to pull off a SB this year........then next year we would have everything to lose because we would have to be proving the whole 2015 year that we were worthy of the playoff stretch after getting in the dance on a fluke divisional championship...
