My brother lives in Asheville. Text me earlier and was pissed because he had to bring all his beer inside out of his garage to keep it from getting too cold.

I thought Asheville stayed a little warmer than most areas up there because it sits in a bowl. It got even colder then that last winter.

It's cold enough here in Charlotte. I miss summer.

I saw on the news tonight that Charlotte was thinking about a 2-hour delay for school tomorrow because of how cold it's going to be. Is it just me or is that some weak sauce?

VERY WEAK. Now up in Milwaukee they cancelled school for tomorrow. It's going to be like -6 at 9 AM. That makes sense.

This is NC, not Minnesota. People arent equipped to go out & about in this type of weather. Most kids around here don't own a heavy winter coat, gloves, toboggan, thermal socks, boots, etc. Why put a large portion of children at risk of getting sick?

6 degrees was a warm morning, for a lot of my arrivals to work, at beech mtn during my 12 years as a ski instructor. I couldn't tell you the amount of days the actual temp was in the negatives when I woke up.

-44 degree wind chill is the coldest I've been in Boone (or around Boone)

    • I may be way off base, let’s include this in that questions thread, but with the way the offensive staff turned on each other in 2023 I am happy to see anyone involved, gone. I had a bad feeling about Caldwell over it.
    • No poo tho you might could Jenkins for Legette. They got nothing at WR after the big 2 in Cincy. I don’t think you trade away OL depth. Could get a quality player in cuts. Really that 3-4 end spot what you should be looking for is someone who is stout with long arms and can push back the OL in both the run and pass game for others to make plays…. But we signed Wharton, sometimes I think Evero is a fraud ass nerd who should be an analyst at best.
    • you would honestly probably do Monroe Freeling more of a disservice by putting him in a position where is not yet ready to succeed. .we all knew Monroe Freeling struggled at the NFL combine in drills because of technique related issues & would need time to develop  & now all of a sudden before they even put the pads on Monroe Freeling is somehow a starting LT in the NFL ? if he struggled at the NFL scouting combine what do you actually think is going to happen in a live NFL game at LT ? .even our best LT of all time was not ready to start at LT when he was a rookie & he turned out to be a pretty good darn LT by the name of Jordan Gross ...just saying be patient Young Jedis
