it also needs to be considered in all this that wilson plays in a west coast type system whereas the panthers are a meat and potatoes coryell with read option wrinkles

absolutely...which is why my vote was worse for right away..different styles each would have to adapt to if their roles were reversed.

The NFL history books are LITTERED with QB's who had a "higher ceiling" than other players that they were drafted above. The Hawk's selection of Dan McGwire over Brett Favre comes to mind, also Jack Thompson over Joe Montana. Sometimes the "intangibles" and up mattering more in the NFL than the Physical skills/attributes.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Cam is Dan McGwire or Jack Thomspon.....I'm just using them to prove a point about "ceilings".

True. But Cam is good enough to win with as is, so even if he never reaches his true ceiling he is "only" a guy who has been to 2 pro bowls and is good for at least 25 total TDS every year.

But if he ever does get even close to his ceiling with his size, strength, mobility, and arm strength.... holy poo. Other teams wouldn't stand a chance

If we actually build around him and bring in a better OC.

We can truly see what we have in Cam..

I would take the bigger, stronger armed Cam,without thinking twice about it. In my opinion Russell Wilson has neared his upside because of longer experience,Cam Newton is still a babe in the woods experiece wise and is nowhere near his upside potential.

The one year at Auburn, when he led them to the National Championship was the extent of his serious football play. He came to the NFL and set it it on fire, the first year, despite being inexperienced. Just give Cam a little more time to smooth out his mechanics and gain experence and you are going to see a really elite NFL QB.

It's a team sport yet you just mentioned one has a Super Bowl. Can't play on both sides of the fence. You guys are ridiculous.

but the Seahawks suck remember...haven't you been paying attention....so if that's the case then Wilson must have done all those things on his own.
