If John Fox got the Falcons job...

Mr. Scot

No, let him go to Chicago...... He'd run circles around Rivera coaching wise. I don't want him anywhere near the NFC south. I'd prefer if he stayed in the AFC to be honest. lol

Him going to Atlanta means the Dimitroff is out as GM, they wouldn't get along at all.

A lot of people on here don't give him the credit he deserves as a HC. He took the Panther's to 2 DC's, 1 SB and 3 playoff birth's in 8 season's. 1 of those season's was directly after a 1-15 season, another one of those was the lockout prep year where the roster was gutted. He took he who shalt not be named and Jake Delhomme to the playoffs and is 6-4 in the postseason with out Manning. (2-3 with him)

To be clear, most of the speculation on Fox puts him in Chicago, so I'd consider this a pretty unlikely scenario.

But if it did happen, what would you say?

Partytime!!

Fox wants to run the ball and stop the run. Atlanta is not set up to do either one. Also, with Atlanta having 2 GMs (Dimitroff/Pioli)

it's like the football axiom that "if you have 2 QBs, you don't have 1". Samey-same with GMs when trying to put a roster together.

It'll set that franchise back a decade.

Dimitroff would be fired in an instant....as for the play the run and defend the run....neither were the panther's in 2001/2002 when he came in. Carolina Rank 31st against the run in 2001 and in his first season rush defense was ranked 8th in the league.

We took two division titles in a row with Sean Payton and the Saints in the division and you're worried about John Fox in Atlanta? Okay.

He just had Peyton Manning and an all-star team and his best result was getting smacked in the Super Bowl.

The NFL has evolved so much since we had that run in 2005 it almost renders whatever he did then irrelevant to what he could do now. It's a "what have you done for me lately" league, and I'm not sure what Fox has done given the circumstances of his latest team that should strike fear into us, considering where we are poised to go next season and beyond.

Nope I would hate the Falcons as much if not more!! glad foxey boy is out of Denver now as they have always been my second team and it was hard to pull for them with him there.. But he is a a 1st class coach.. Just bitter on how the last two seasons went.. Blah blah! And blah!

And he wanted the roster built to run the ball and stop the run, Hence Stephen Davis, DeShaun Foster, Brad Hoover, Nick Goings, DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, blockhouse formations with 3 RBs, draw plays on 3rd and a mile.

Stopping the run cost us picks on Atiyahh Ellison, Kindal Moorehead, Corvey Irvin, Sione Fua, Terrell McClain.

With two GMs trying to figure out how to build Fox's vision of a football team, it'll be worse than having a single Hurney.

I haven't heard how strong a grip Dimitroff has on his job, but I'd think since he wasn't fired with Smith and made to share his job, he will still be there for a couple years before Blank comes to his senses.

    • I don't necessarily think he will be moved, I would currently be leaning against that notion. I think a lot will depend on the coaching situation. Carroll certainly can't be thinking about wanting to go through a serious strip down and overhaul, so the longer he plans to remain, the less likely I think Crosby gets moved.
    • I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles.  Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
    • At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C.  The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
