John Fox to Bears

I was very frustrated with Fox in Carolina and obviously Elway was too here in Denver.  IMO, you can be a very good team under Fox, but you'll never be a great team under Fox. BUT, with that said, Fox and his mentality may be exactly what the Bears need right now. We've seen the Bears and Cutler trying to be a high flying offense. It didn't work. I think Cutler can be successful in a Fox system of pounding the rock and using the run and play action to setup the pass. Fox is a ball control coach, but he does like to setup the big play downfield with the run and Cutler and those WRs are perfect for that. If Cutler and those WRs can accept putting the ball in the air 25-30 times instead of 40+, it can work. Can Cutler and Marshall accept that though? Hell, can management accept that when they're paying Cutler like he's the second coming of Joe Montana?

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
