What traits are you looking for in the new WR'S.

WOW!!

ELITE route running and ELITE hands/concentration. Only thing I care about. Don't care about size, speed, YAC, etc. If they have that too, great, but what we need is a guy who can get separation so Cam isn't throwing into a tight window every time and he needs to not drop the damn ball.

Hopefully we can draft the next Larry Fitz then

I want someone that is tough physically and mentally, has great hands, and can create separation by stopping on a dime or using a little shake and bake.

Most important to me is a receiver who has the ability and proclivity to straight up take over a game on the offensive side of the ball.

a fire within that wants to compete for the football and come out on top.you have to possess that winning ATTITUDE in order to be elite, period.

physically...speed is a plus but overrated if you can't place your body in the correct position to fend off the dB and hang onto the ball.

i see a player like Devin Smith and think to myself...this kid has it.

Yep...how the hell did Sammy Watkins go above him....crazy

I honestly think Gettleman would have taken OBJ over Watkins if we had a higher pick. I remember him specifically saying in the post-draft press conference, when asked about KB's rawness, that the only receiver in the class that wasn't raw was OBJ.

I am going to be honest, I am more interested in O-line than WR. I don't think our WRS suck as bad as some of you guys.

Sure some speed and playmaking is always welcome, but building a great o-line eliminates a lot of our offensive issues in one swoop

Do both? We could make a thread about offensive lineman too but this one is for WRs!

I do think it would be foolish to enter the season with Philly as a clear cut starter.

I want a receiver with good hands and the ability to separate. Obviously you want a guy that can do it all but I would specifically like a guy that can keep the safeties deep with game breaking speed. But getting open accomplishes nothing if the ball hits the ground so you need the hands too.

I wouldn't mind a physical receiver like Brandon Lafell too. I think our offense lost something when he left. He could run physical reverses and block. He caught the ball too but the physical play was the best trait he had.

I wouldn't even mind a Tavon Austin type receiver that can be a special teams playmaker and a wrinkle on offense.

Yeah I wouldn't mind getting 2 new WR'S this year. A fast one and a another big physical 1.

I be a little pissed if Bersin makes the team next year.. That would mean we didn't bring enough option and better competition. .

I remember that one too. It's good to know Gettleman was on the right track in his analysis...even before the season began!
