I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for last season given the personnel he was working with and some of the games being more on Ron (ATL at home, tie @ CIN). With an upgrade (either through FA or the draft) at OT and WR likely coming, he'll need to put together a much more impressive showing.

I think people want a fresh mind. Someone new that is hungry not only to learn and improve his self, but use the individual talent from each player in the game plain, which will transform into plays that make sense with the right personal.

I don't have a problem with that I just don't want to hand over the reins to a guy who likely would need years to figure it out. We have tried that in the past with little success.

Serious question how many WR'S Coaches make the transition to OC??

 

Pep Hamilton comes to mind right away.

But... many do. And some become successful head coaches, like Tom Coughlin. Others become not so successful head coaches, like Chan Gailey and Todd Haley. Even Mike Tomlin was a college WR coach.
