Better Call Saul!

Aaron Paul tweeted yesterday along the lines of, "can't wait for everyone to see the surprises ahead"...

I think it's a forgone conclusion that Jesse will make an appearance at some point. Minor characters like Badger as well maybe? And probably WW down the road as a cliffhanger on a season finale or something.

Do I need to have watched BB in order to watchand/or get this show? I watched the first 45 mins or so last night and it was really good... I stopped at the part where he made the plan with the skateboarders at the intersection.

Too early to tell, but I would say no since I'm sure they'll distance themselves from BB somewhat.

To fully understand Saul right now? Yes. To fully understand little nuances like the opening scene at Cinnabon? Yes. It's going to be it's own show, but having watched BB as a prerequisite would obviously be ideal.

No, I don't think you have to watch BB to get this show....but if you liked BCS, you would love BB.

Your best move might be to watch BB on Netflix and then circle back to BCS.

Technically, no. But you need to watch BB because it's one of the best shows in TV history. Saul's character in it was amazing and we won't see THAT Saul for a few more episodes in BCS.

Funny about a WW cameo. He was in that Super Bowl commercial. I swore it was a baldcap and fake goatee ... but now, you never know. He could've filmed the commercial the same time he did an episode of BCS.

Most likely bald cap and goatee

    • I read that Pittsburgh is a possibility.  I think of college QB studs who had some form of mental quirk yet tons of talent--but their issue made being a team leader difficult and it led to their demise--going back:  Jamarcus Russell, Art Schlichter, Jeff George, etc. I think people forget that the QB must not only have talent, but they must lead.
    • I wish I knew more details, but the NIL money to 20-year olds combined with easy access to gambling sites is a side effect that these kids may not have considered.  To your point,A famous 2009 Sports Illustrated article titled “How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke” estimated that 78% of retired NFL players go bankrupt or face significant financial stress within two years of leaving the league.  I am guessing that ego and $$$ and the thrill of competition (most pro athletes love competition because they are the winners) makes it a powerful temptation.  Throw in the ease of gambling on your phone which is always in your hand, and I see your point x 10.
    • Freeling got some reps at RT when they gave Moton a rest day--I sorta hope Freeling gets brought along slowly as you describe.  It would be better for him for reasons you provide.  We have a really good problem.
