Huddle Up with Cam Newton

Still hard to believe at times that Squirrel was a mod.

Take it somewhere else bud.

I was like this before I was even a mod.  So you shouldnt be shocked.

Being Mod just made me more harden against threads like this.  Mainly because everytime someone spoke negative of a player or team and didnt agree with the fan boys they got threatened.  Got tired of it as a Mod because I tried to be partial and finally got fed up with it and quit.

Every QB ever needs work. Tom Brady still struggles with dealing with muddy pockets (a trait Cam excels at compared to thd norm.) You act like a pendantic troll with a need for self-aggrandizing with the way you say obvious things like they are not readily apparant to all but the most oblivious of fans. And then you whine about the backlash?

I realized after I posted it that it wasn't needed.

Yes of course he does. You could argue that pretty much every quarterback in the NFL has at least one element within their game that they could improve upon. Even Aaron Rodgers wasn't his usual self in the playoffs against Seattle. These guys are all human.

In regards to Cam though, he has said himself that he knows what he needs to work on. There is no reason to believe that he won't. One thing that will help him and the offense substantially is adding much needed speed to our receiving corps in the offseason.

It was ment to be more of a joke considering everyone knows my position on this board but I accidentally made myself look like an attention *****. The post wasn't needed like I said. I unofficially take it back.

Why do y'all let the piss and vinegar crowd ruin every good thread? Forget them. If they just want to focus on the negatives in life, let 'em do it.

If that was all it was, it would be easier to ignore.

The fact is though that what they want is for the players they don't like (like Cam) to FAIL, because in the great scheme of things they place their desire to be "right" over the Panthers winning and building for consistent success over a long period of time.

Yeah posters like SCMunnerlyn have admitted in other threads that they just straight up don't like him for whatever reason so they are going to focus on all the negatives all the time as if they were a fan of a rival division rival.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
