Im ok with it. Only because he was the only experienced option. He's an upgrade over bell but hopefully gmagic hits another round one home run and oher is a back up after week 3 or so.

I hope our line is set at the start of training camp. Need them to gel going into the season.

NFL News: The Panthers have signed OT Michael Oher , putting Cam Newton's health in jeopardy.

You just have to wonder about a guy who the ONLY thing he can think to do is to be a negative asshole.

Not questioning.

Not unsure.

Not hopeful.

Just a guy who wants to take a huge poo on everything.

Nice.

This doesn't even qualify as a Wal-Mart signing Gettleman. He's back to shopping at the Dollar Store again. God we've got to figure out a way to keep him out of there.

pantherj after Gettleman signs an available FA tackle: THIS IS A WALMART SIGNING!

pantherj after Gettleman hypothetically signs no FA tackles (since none above the WalMart level are legitimately available): WHAT THE FUG ARE YOU DOING GETTLEDOUCHE NOT SIGNING A TACKLE!

gettlemanjack has over the course of the past few months consistently posted many tweets-both positive and negative-that come up from a variety of topics.

There's a reason nobody has anything kind to say about Michael oher and it isn't because gettlemanjack hates him.

If you want to get giddy about the Oher signing, then by all means do so. Hey, there even is a small measure of reason for optimism with the Matsko connection. But pretending like you don't understand why the rest of the world wouldn't jump all over Oher over the way he's played in recent years is buffoonery.

Houston was about 4 yards behind Locker on the play. Get rid of the football Locker. Thank you for showing me that a 2nd time.

Heck, we saw plays last year where Bell got confused and just stood there blocking nobody while guys ran right past him.

    • The teams this 2nd year player (can’t really blame the years before he was drafted on him) was playing were going 100% as most do most weeks in the NFL. The whole argument is about his play during that period and how well was he actually playing. I’m with you on the winning though. Just start winning and fans will get excited. Start getting in the playoffs and winning and we won’t care how his PFF or box score stats look. 200 yards a game to 400 yards a game, start scoring and winning playoffs games and 99% of fans will buy in.
    • Yeah, we are gonna be raw.  Wonnum, for the past 3 years, has been averaging 8 sacks a season (4 in one season when he missed half a season).  I am OK, but yes, they will be thrown to the fire.
    • I like this because it means one or both of the rookies will be thrust into a bigger role right away and we can see what they might be. I don't like this because it just makes our team that much younger and inexperienced.  You need vets to help the young guys learn, I just hope we aren't going too far in the opposite direction.  All our FA signings were guys just coming off their rookie deals too, I get why we're doing it, but having the savvy vets help in other ways too.
