From Jason Worilds: "I appreciate all of the interest from the organizations that have reached out to us the past few days. With that being said, after much thought & consideration I have chosen to step away from football as I have opted to pursue other interests. I am especially grateful of the opportunity to play before some of the greatest fans in football today. Despite any concern and speculation that may ensue, I appreciate those that are respectful of my decision."

Damn. Arsen was wrong.

Haha just bugging you, I knew there must've been a solid reason as to why you thought he was coming here.

Seriously can't believe he's retiring though, 26 and coming off a solid season

I found out he's buying a house in Matthews so I was sure he's signing with the Panthers... but apparently he picked Charlotte to settle down.

Free agent edge rusher Jason Worilds says he's retiring after five years in the NFL.

The No. 52 overall pick of the 2010 draft, Worilds is only 27, and was Rotoworld's No. 4 remaining free-agent edge rusher. "After much thought and consideration, I have chosen to step away from football as I have opted to pursue other interests," Worilds said. It's an absolute stunner for a player who generated 15.5 quarterback takedowns over the past two seasons. Worilds was Pro Football Focus' No. 11 3-4 outside linebacker in 2014. We don't doubt Worilds' current sincerity — he's not walking away due to a lack of interest — but when someone this young and talented retires, there's always a chance they'll eventually change their mind.

When he is on to another team everyone is going to ask why and then we are going to look back at the receiving corp we gave him and then go oh there is the reason.

I think if we draft a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd round and sign another mid-level receiver or two (Shorts, Nicks, Britt), then our receiving corps, Olsen included, is more than competent.

It's the offensive line that's gonna kill Cam, not the talent at receiver. Brady has never had a problem with the trash bin he's been given over most of his career.

Dwayne Bowe

No

God no.

He's old slow and hurt.

He's never been a god WR I've always called him a slightly better LaFell but now even LaFell is better than him.

He wouldn't upgrae our offense in anyway. We need a speed WR to compliment Benji.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
