Would they send him to look at guys we don't expect will be there for us? Honestly asking. No snark.

i would think so because you never know how the draft will turn out and someone who was thought to be "out of range" for you could be sitting there, it'd be nice to have actually scouted him...

isn't that kinda what happened with Star? most thought he'd be out of range and we "wished upon a falling star"

Cooper and White will most likely both be gone in the top 10. I believe the Vikes will take Parker for Bridgewater but say the Vikes pass and Gettleman loves him, any chance he trades up if he can't find a WR during the FA period and Parker is still there around in the mid teens?

I know he's a conservative guy and we can't really afford to be giving away picks but man, KB and DeVante on rookie deals for the next 3-4 seasons would be nice!

Parker could be there.  Most of us base our understanding of player rankings on information that is speculative and based on needs that were determined  before free agency.  Parker could be the fourth or even fifth WR taken.

    • I will not further hijack this thread, so this is it for me, as this is becoming more suited for draft talk. When we let Burns go, well he is only so-so and we can find better pass rushers and more productive pass rushers. We haven't. That isn't so much an endorsement on Burns, but more an indictment on our emphasis on pass rush. To that end, we deserve what we have. 18 sacks. Virtually no pressure. The leader being our do-it-all seemingly only defensive player that makes an consistent impact on games. With something like 6 sacks. It's a pathetic number for an NFL team to post. If we go wr, he better be the 2nd coming of Rice, Moss and T.O. to warrant a selection.
    • Evero is a very mixed bag. His scheme is capable of hiding some personnel deficiencies while dramatically amplifying others.  The one thing I will fully admit is that we can actually do far worse than Evero, although I would like to make a change there.  My personal expectation would be that we would immediately make a very bad DC hire when/if he leaves. I don't believe that Canales/Tepper will be able to get a high caliber coordinator to be interested for several reasons. Not the least of which being this defense is constructed very, very poorly(for which Evero deserves at least some of the blame). One thing that seems to be a small positive is that DC does appear to let Evero basically completely run that defense without a ton of input. So that level of autonomy might be attractive to a few candidates.
