Not sure which of these are correct.  Neither take into account CJ Splliers contract I am sure.  But the Saints, hahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahah. 

 

Just FYI teams have 24 hours after they sign a guy to get under the cap.  If you don't they start voiding contracts until you get there.

The cap hit isn't spread until June 1, until then we hold onto his $6.3m cap charge.

 

Not a big deal. We won't sign our draftees until after June 1st anyway. The cap savings from DWill will be allocated to the rookie pool so we can sign them.

Damn...  I said the following on another board before I even saw this article...  Pretty damn close!

 

 

 

You're going to need around 8 million for draft/UDFA, and you have to hold on to another 5 million throughout the season for random signings due to injuries, etc. That leaves us with about $3 million, and we'll still likely sign a few FA's, though they'll be the bargain bin type due to what's left over.

I've honestly not been too upset with our lack of moves.  Ginn and Oher were decent signings while our division is literally going to hell.  Yes we are getting better, we had 8 rookies get significant time last year who will only be better with more experience, Ginn gives us a legit deep threat, and now we can go into the season without a giant distration with Hardy.  Lets get through the draft and see whats still out there desperate for deals and what needs we have left.

Extent TD, Restructuring for CJ and maybe Kali.. There is our extra money. .

No to the last two. Maybe extension for TD but he's not going to another team and who knows when he'll decline so I'd rather play it year to year.

CJ and Kalil should absolutely not be restructured. We aren't the Saints. Kalil shouldn't even be offered an extension. An extension for CJ would be cool If he isn't overpriced.

I willing to bet they are not going to carry CJ's 2015 cap hit of 20 mil.. give him some of that in a signing bonus and lessen his cap hit this year..

I would about guarantee they take the hit this year to have more next year. They can do work next year.
