My Ultimate BPA Pipe-Dream 1-5 Round Mock Draft

Lets draft a prospect thats coming off an ACL tear, that will work for us. I mean look at the 49ers, Lattimore worked out wonderfully for them.. Oh wait.

Funny you should mention the 49'ers.

Their 5-time Pro Bowl running back, Frank Gore, also suffered a torn ACL in college.

I do like your draft and think it would be a good "triple play" type draft. I don't know if I could say a "home run" however I do agree that Collins and Peat won't be here and I don't even feel confident saying Gurley will be there. With the past weeks signings Gettleman has set it up for a BPA signing. I believe we have to address WR or LT in first two rounds. However I think those players will be gone. I like Strong/Gurley/Collins in first and or Devin Smith/Jake Fisher/Jay Ajayi in 2nd. I trust in Gettleman and he believes about having a team load of great players than having a couple of high priced "superstars. I read today that Dolphins who "won the FA" two years ago with Wallace and Ellerbe and they aren't even on the team anymore and 15% of their Cap in 2015 is to players not on their team. G-Man!

i was thinking the same thing right after my initial face palm.

having said that, he'll probably end up being the pick and in that case i'll defer to gettleman's wisdom. i just don't like the idea of another (or really any) RB in the first.

I just see most of the teams with sustained success aren't using 1st round RB. . We are a RB by committee team.. RB'S have a shelf life of 3-5 years so most are starting to decline after signing their 2nd contract..

I just don't see the value in 1st round RB. .

Honestly injured rb with certain leg problems are almost pure gold. When I saw how ap and Stewart looked after coming off leg injuries its like since they put so much work into their legs everything is boosted btw acl injuries aren't serious at all according to Dr. Andrews so I'll take his advice first and foremost lol But I'll throw td (three acl tears same knee) and tyrann Mathieu as well who came back in like Seven months and still balled out ( I added him for two reasons one he plays an acl non friendly position and he looked better than in his rookie year too btw I really wanted him bad) but in other words gurley is the best player in the draft and I pray we get him if possible

If Gurley is there, you have to draft him. Unless one of the top 2 tackles falls. You don't get the opportunity to get a running back of that caliber everyday and it is a position of need. People that don't like it or would complain are completely foolish.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
