water, water and then water.

 

when you are drinking the beer...or anything else for that matter...drink lots of water between drinks

 

when it's time for bed, more water.  Wake up and drink water...or Gatorade...drink more beer

Moderation. I drink one to three good beers a day on most day. Im satisfied by the quality beers. Not the BMCs. Maybe ill do six on a game day. The abv is rarely less than 6 so im not pounding them either. If i were i would be blacked out and hungover. I experienced that with a homebrewed porter that came in at 7.1 at the Seattle game two years ago. I drank 12 and dont recall much more than the deangelo fumble.

tL;dr version. Drink good beer and only a few and you wont have to worry about a hangover.

this. personally i try to drink either a whole or at least a half a bottle of water in between each beer. you will make many trips to the bathroom with that much liquid in you but it beats a terrible hangover.

i didn't figure it out until age 29, actually after the panthers playoff game against the cardinals this year, when i got fuging smashed on shots of makers mark (every time something exciting happened) and a metric poo ton of kryptonite and beer. but this time i kept a lot of food on my stomach (steaks and potatoes) and even more importantly, almost on a drunken whim, i decided to drink as much water as i could possibly stand. i sat in bed and fuged around on the huddle in a drunken post-win stupor of glee and drank an entire fuging gallon of water. i fell asleep and then proceeded to get up every hour all night long to empty a camel's bladder worth of piss into the toilet, bleary and drunk every time.

 

then i woke up at 8am stone cold sober and headacheless and drove to charlotte for intensive masters courses and never felt even remotely hung over.

 

god, i wish i had learned this a decade ago. drink water. tons and tons of it. you'll never have a hangover again.
