NFL states they will 'no longer rely on the legal system'

1.  How would the DA know?  They didn't get that inormation from Holder or Hardy.  They just threw that out there in an attempt to further smear hardy.

2.  Your common sense has not bearing on the facts of the situation.

3.  Sound more like it up Holder's ass to me.

NFL investigation found Hardy's explanations not credible

So basically, for anyone with character issues (whether it be drugs, domestic violence or whatever) the road to suspension no longer has to pass any legal roadblocks.

If the league concludes that you did it, you're suspended.

I would say the NFL will see it's players as guilty until proven innocent, but it's more like guilty because we say you are.  I'm no lawyer, but I would wonder the legality of this stance.

A court of law doesn't decide whether a violation of company policy occurred. The company does.

And if the company says that just getting arrested for domestic violence is enough to get you dismissed, that's their right.

Fair or not, that's reality for pretty much everybody who's employed by someone else. Except, up to this point, the NFL.

They're now going to have to follow the same rules as everyone else.

And that's why it's going to be a problem.  Most companies are going to let the legal process play out before making a determination of your innocence/guilt.  They're not going to launch a full investigation, completely on their own accord, to determine for themselves, whether or not you're guilty.  You may get suspended with pay, or something of that nature, until they find out for sure, via the legal system.  It would be completely stupid to fire someone based off of getting arrested anyway, because we all know how easy it is to have someone arrested, guilty or not.  It's setting yourself up for massive lawsuits.  What's happening here, is not even remotely close to how other companies handle these situations.

Again, 'legality' doesn't apply here.

There is no constitutional right to play in the NFL, so when a team suspends or cuts a player, nobody's right are violated.

On the flipside however, companies and corporations absolutely have the legal right to terminate the employment of someone who violates their policies.

Nah, they're probably right.

Holder, on her shítty waitress salary, bought an expensive luxury car and took shopping sprees all over the country (NYC, LA, Denver, Miami) during the months between the bench trial and jury trial.

But just because she suddenly had all that money then refused to show up in court or even talk to the DA does not mean Hardy paid her.

There's no proof.

Or, she got another sugar daddy. I would hate to have you on a jury.

Except in the scenario I suggested, there was no violation of company policy according to the court of law. The legal system has found Joe Blow innocent, after the employer suggested guilt. Of course, I'm talking about more serious offenses, such as domestic violence, and things like that, which are going to require court proceedings to get straightened out.

Like previously said...90% of guys would be fired if they were charged with what Hardy was. And the other 10% would have been fired when a judge found them guilty...even though NC gives you a do over with a jury trial.

Add to that the crap he has posted on social media.

He is an idiot.
