He's a terrible fit for a cover 2. Goldson and Barron didn't work in Tampa and DJ is a worse version of those two. Not sure I understand it, but I don't see him making a positive impact there. He's cheap and they can dump him whenever they want with no repercussions so there's that I guess. No real risk involved.

Speaking of Tampa...

Whoaaaa no. My pasty white ass is just a fan who started seriously following college ball when Captain was a freshman. However I recall that comment from youtube. I did make the video but another user posted that comment.

When a team cuts a player after only his second season....something is wrong.

 

Pretty much, especially a highly drafted one.  Swearinger was a second round pick in 2013.

 

This would be equivalent to us cutting Kawann Short.
