NFL says Pats guilty, and Brady knew

Recommended Posts

You do realize that Brady's stats in the 2nd half of the AFC title game, AFTER the refs had fixed the inflation of the footballs, were better than his stats in the 1st half, right?

Right?

you do realize brady benefited from using deflated balls prior to the afc championship game, right? they cheat there way to get to the afc championship game, right? you do realize they deflated balls because brady felt like it improved his performance, right? i mean, they didn't deflate the footballs to make it more difficult on themselves, right? you do realize balls below 12.5 psi is against the rules of NFL...all 32 teams teams, right?????? RIGHT?????? RIGHT????????YOU DO REALIZE THAT NFL RULES APPLY TO THE PARTIOTS AND TOM BRADY TOO, RIGHT?????????

I can assure you he's not a Brady homer.

Well its never Lucks fault.

oh of course it wouldn't be.

one of our resident luck boosters was going around this site prior to the afc championship game going "you cam huggers just wait and see; don't say i didn't warn you when luck takes an injured way less talented colts team into foxborough and punches their ticket to the super bowl" or something to that effect.  then they got blown out of the stadium lol.

It is actually quite easy to see if you read the word in context of how it is used in the report. Investigations, whether they are criminal in nature or internal to an organization, require a burden of proof to either substantiate or unsubstantiate the claims. By using that language in the report, the investigator was merely saying, "The burden has been met."

But you all can keep your panties in a was if you'd like.

No panties here just everything you wrote was almost verbatim was what Florio said.

I had no idea of what Florio wrote. I just deal with all these burdens of proof on a day-to-day basis in my job. Thought the ones making a big deal of the word "probable" we're just missing the point.

Everyone upset about the word "probable" should read the word in context. The word describes the burden of proof used during the investigation, which sounds to be proof by a preponderance of the evidence. That is a legal standard much lower than proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and it essentially means "the greater probability of the evidence," i.e. more probable than not.

From Mike Florio:

“More probable than not” equates to a “preponderance of the evidence,” the standard that applies in most civil lawsuits. It means that the evidence makes it more likely than not, in the opinion of the investigator, that “New England Patriots personnel participated in violations of the Playing Rules and were involved in a deliberate effort to circumvent the rules,” and that “Tom Brady . . . was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities.”

I was being cheeky.

As I stated, sounds like what you said is what Mike Florio said

I'm honestly not that big a fan of Giselle.

me neither. I'm happy for Brady that he thinks she's gorgeous (and all that matters is what he thinks), but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and Giselle is a pretty girl in some pictures, but not pretty enough for my tastes. I'm more attracted to every girl I've been with than I am to Giselle (and I'm talking about at first sight, not as they got more and more attractive to me the more and more i liked them as a person). And there plenty of NFL players have wives that I think are really really pretty, like Romo's wife here:

    • I have different  opinion on what is a big time throw. Some of those CJ throws the receiver is running wide open, one of them he completely under throws.
    • agreed, which is why if Bryce gets his poo together the division is for the taking. Even with Bryce sucking we were in every NFC South game last year   yep, a tortured longtime Hornets and Panthers fan
