NFCS fans are so ignorant about Panthers

Not sold on the weapons or the oline part. I think the receivers are better than last years, depending on Funchess. Ginn is better than any 3 yall had last year. The oline is better than they started last year with, but people here seem to have really bought into the Oher signing. That's not a problem, I'm just not buying it until he hits the field.

I think the secondary is a bit of a question mark, but don't have much of anything to complain about on the defensive side of the ball.

I think our secondary will be fine, not really a question mark as it was last season.

I've been reading some comments from NFCS rivals forums. You've have your typical expected Cam hating comments, like he's not worth the contract extension, ect....

There are many comments about how will have to break up our defense. How we were already in bad shape cap wise and Newtons 20 + million a year was going to cripple our salary cap for years to come.

Just as many comments about Cam has no weapons and O-line sucks.

Do our NFCS rival fans really believe all this tripe? Can they really be this ignorant about the Panthers roster?

If they think we haven't improved from last season, this upcoming season is going to be so much fun to watch and read their reaction. Their ignorance will be our bliss.

seen those aint fans hating on us

"Fans" in general are ignorant. Take comparing two players of different teams at the same(similar?) position, like Luke and clay mathews. An packer fan will bring up how many sb wins or how many times his team got to the playoffs, but that has nothing to do with that individual player. Yes they may have had a strong presence to get to those, but they are just one individual of 53. Or take cam and luck. Wins/losses are looked at with disregard to the other talent around them. Those teams won that super, those teams also got to the playoffs, not just that player. Its not like they are going out there on offense/defense with no help, 11 vs 1. Not only are fans guilty of this but also reports whos job it is to cover the legue.

Most of those fan bases were SOLD that he would would not re-sign here.  They were CONVINCED after seeing him get pounded last year with a crap O-Line that he would not come back.. They drank the Kool-Aid some announcers fed their listeners about "the team not appreciating him".

Now, it looks like all of that is BS and they have no hope of separating Cameron Newton from his Panther jersey. The only thing left is to talk trash about it.  This team is excited, and I feel it in the tip of my.. well, you know that the Panthers will rip chit up this coming football season.  I know it, most of you know it and less importantly, our rivals know it.. So, all they have left is to say "well, you just wait, you just wait wah wah wah, your future is toast.. I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.

Oher scares me, and Harper is a swap rat thug who doesn't deserve to be playing arena ball. Besides that I think we are in good shape to take the division.

Also Rivera is not qualified to be a head coach, his support of Harper is all the proof you need.

I think the South will be better for the most part this year. Falcons upgraded and so did the Bucs. The Saints on the other hand seem to me like they will be playing for a high draft pick this year (QB?).

Still at this point every team is a champ and no one is a loser. We have questions just like everyone and its up to us to destroy our competition. We are back to back champs so its up to the team to let the south know we are going to run this poo for year.

Rivals just don't understand how much of a gift wrap the division was last year..  Everything that could go wrong happened to us..

1.A design set back to fixed the cap by Gettelmen..

2. Corp restructure at Oline,  secondary and WRs.

3.Cam being injured in the offseason and mostly during the season..

4. Losing a top 5  elite defender after game one.

5. Injuries injuries injuries  to the RB's and Oline..

6. Worst Special teams in the league..  Costing us at least 3 wins..

We shouldn't have won this division last year..  And Now we are adding talent not subtracting it..

We are a way better team on paper than last year and they will find out soon..  How much we  are in position to dominate  this division..

    • Um, no, just no. Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Eagles, Commanders are 8 teams that it's not even a debate, they aren't trading their QB for Purdy. Patriots, Broncos, Titans, Giants, Bears, Vikings, Falcons are 7 more teams with QBs drafted in the last 2 years that also would rather stick with them than trade for Purdy as they all have more upside than he does. Lions, Packers, Cowboys, Bucs are 4 more that would likely keep their QB's as well, age aside for Goff, Dak, and Baker. Panthers and Colts are two teams in the same situation, QB's who have both struggled and shown flashes to where the teams probably stick with them because they drafted them, but in a re-draft of all QB's, they probably take Purdy over the guy they currently have. Jags, Cardinals, Dolphins, are 3 more with QB's who probably have a higher upside than Purdy but come with their own question marks, so debatable if they'd take Purdy over who they already have. That leaves Jets, Raiders, Steelers, Browns, Saints, Seahawks, and Rams. Rams would take him over Stafford for the future of course, but not for 2025, and I'd think the Seahawks would take him over Darnold, but honestly not sure if they would take him over Milroe at this moment as they really like his potential and have him for 4 years really cheap. That leaves 5 teams that I see who would absolutely take him over their current situation right now, and a handful of others who MIGHT take him over their current guy, a far cry from your 20.
    • Agreed. Also as soon as they received the top pick in the next draft it was over. Bears won that trade. Gave up a top overall pick got one the next year plus pick 9, a couple 2nds, and DJ Moore a proven young WR. Had their 2024 pick from us be in the late teens or later it would be more debatable IMO.
    • Option A:  Pay your starting QB starting QB money. Option B:  Look for a starting QB for 4-10 years (or longer) while wasting the talent at every other position.    How many of the top 20 QB's do you think are worth what they are being paid?   When you factor in the last year of his present deal his contract is really an average of 45 million per year which in today's QB market is a very, very good deal. I wish we'd had found a Brock Purdy to pay 50+ million a year right after we parted ways with Cam.  Ya'll go ahead and live in fairy tale land where good to great (much less elite) QB's are available to pay. Just the fact that they had the chance to pay Brock after the disaster of trading up for Lance is a testament that when you find a quarter back you can win with, complete in the playoffs and superbowls with, you pay him.
