We just lost any chance we had at getting Curry to come home

Recommended Posts

I thought him winning would lessen the chance, but it could very well work in our favor. Dubs fans can't be mad with him if he leaves now that he has brought them a chip. His heart is in charlotte, his home is in charlotte, his family is in charlotte... Dell's role within the team has just expanded. I don't think it's coincidence. I feel like he will come home as soon as he hits FA.

I love how in a year when LeBron James left a winning franchise in Miami to go back to Cleveland and the finals feature two franchises that haven't won anything in 40 years that it's somehow completely ridiculous for Curry to come to Charlotte in 2017.

We are coming off a 33-49 season, have no stars, and are capped out with management that can't draft worth a lick going nowhere fast. Tell me again why as fans we shouldnt be looking for every glimmer of hope for maybe being a good basketball team at some point?

He needs to stay there. They could potentially be the next "Spurs" if their players stay unselfish come contract time.

Nope. They have no big man and most of their shots are chucks. They seems more like the 2000s Mavericks/Suns than the Spurs. Plus the Spurs focus on ball movement, Golden State focuses on man movement in their offense.

Everything fell into place for the warriors to win it. Won't be that easy next time.

Drafting a superstar these days is tough and this city gets no love from the lottery. Free agency is the way to go for the Hornets.

Hopefully the parents/grandparents as well as friends, family and the Hornets organization can convince the guy come free agency or work on a trade.

It can happen.

Your salty tears are delicious. Can't decide if I should drink them neat or on the rocks.

Youve been hating all year and still can't help yourself.

Am I wrong? Spurs move the ball to get defenses out of position and in recover moments where people are wide open. Warriors are busy with floppy sets, down screens, dribble handoffs, etc. they are about man movement, and they have no Duncan. They are no Spurs.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
