The one thing I really like about Batum is even in a down year he averaged over 5 assist per game. If he can take some of the facilitating off of Kemba's plate while somewhat stretching the floor our offense should be much better.

you cant really rate the kid at all atm.  The only sure thing about him is we burned a top 10 pick on him then traded him before he even got PT.  He could be an 18 and 10 guy or we can add those two numbers together and that will be about how many minutes we actually played the kid.  Instead we went with marvin williams and jason max and still missed the playoffs in the pathetic east.

Most here have never watched Batum either..he was hurt most the season. I do Like Vonleh however..I would have considered MKG and Vonleh the only untouchables..unless it was an overwhelming offer. Maybe this opens up a RJ Hunter trade....if only Okafor drops so we can trade up.

Saying we got "trade raped" is ridiculous.  Batum is one of the best two way players in the league.  He's better than Hendo at shooting, scoring, passing, rebounding, and defending.  So everything.  HUGE upgrade at the two.  There's just as good of a chance Vonleh busts as there is he turns into some 20/12 guy like apparently every one on this board thinks he's gonna be.  We traded Hendo and an unproven prospect for one of the best two way players in the league who's still only 26.  Don't get the fuss.

He's been a jag for 7 years..  He isn't worth what we gave up for him..  And the cherry on top we could be just renting him for a year..
