David Newton outnumbered 1 to 3....

The other NFC South ESPN staff writers agree on Julio being the divisions best offensive player......except for David Newton.  While trying to temper your Panthers homerism, what say you?  Agree with Newton or the other writers?  Or a different player all together?

Best WR?  Yeah I see that.

Best Offensive player?  idk... is he a better offensive weapon than Cam?

Probably not, but its hard to say. Cam has spent most of his career running for his life with no one to throw to.

Who knows what he can really do?

The Panthers are winning because of Cam, how are the Falcons doing with JJ?

and yeah, Luke is the best players on field in most games. Amazing for as young as he is.

It's almost like there are 10 other guys on the field at one time that help determine how well a team does...

Kind of why these positional comparisons are kind of dumb imo...  can you really compare a WR to a QB?  QB has a lot more chances to impact a game.

First, fug you guys for getting me to click a ESPN link.

Jones is probably a top 4 WR in the league.
Outside of the game where he killed Green Bay, what other games has he taken over? (honest question)

Hard for me to say there is a harder to defend player than Cam Newton.

I agree with this.  It's apples to oranges.  DN might be a little loony sometimes, but he has a solid argument here.

Also known as the game where Green Bay dropped like 38 on them in the first half (38-0 IIRC) , and then just sat back and coasted the rest of the game where Julio tore up a defense that quite literally wasn't even trying anymore.

Falcons and Julio fans have turned that performance, and game, into some sort of myth.  It was annoying how big of a deal they tried to make that game out to be afterwards... lmao I've literally never seen garbage time and stats get bragged about so much.  A game they lost.

They even tried to use that as a reason they were going to whip our asses week 17 last year.

    • Such a dumb pick and most of us knew it Ladd would’ve been the perfect match with Bryce But instead they draft XL to fill the void at the X spot because we had a 34 year old Adam Thielen. Then a year later we draft a real X WR and move XL inside where he has absolutely no business being for a list of reasons
    • My logic was hopefully a new HC would have a LOT quicker hook for Bryce. But, that is assuming they would even be allowed. I guess that's a call to the owner's box for permission.
    • I’m not overly defending the pick. I was team Stroud by a country mile but I also knew what to expect as far as ceiling goes with Bryce  I had concerns with Bryce’s arm strength and size. Neither seem to overly be an issue. He’s proven to throw with enough anticipation that he makes up for a lack of velocity. I was worried about the way he played in college not translating to the league. Spending 8 seconds behind LOS. I did also think it would take Young a few years for him to reach his full potential. I also think he’s too smart and accurate to flat out bust which all of seems to be pretty accurate Bryce is someone you can absolutely win with. No one thought he’d be the type to carry a well below average supporting cast to a Super Bowl. He’s fully capable of giving you those 4-5 special plays a game that help your team win. And then you have those rare times where he’s the reason you win like in Atlanta.  All good teams have more than just a QB.  Even the teams that are winning this year all have a lot more than what we have. Supporting cast/defense… more than what we have  As far as Morgan goes I 100% agree. Fwiw he was legit team Bryce during the draft process. I know that for a fact. Last years draft is a complete write off. This past draft still up for debate. TMac and Scourton look solid. I can’t remember the last time I saw Princely win a rep and I’m being honest. Ransom has a little value. I think ETN is a nice insurance add. Evans could be a TE2.    I think this offseason Morgan will get aggressive with trying to land a pass rusher. Whether that’s a trade for Crosby, signing Hendrickson, it’s going to be top priority. We need a ILB. I really like Kaden Ellis. Sonny Styles should be in our draft range. We also need a tight end and it would be interesting to see this offseason with Kenyon Sadiq
