Florida State dumps QB

What if his lawyer says she called him the n-word and she raised her pudgy little fist above waist level?

If she did actually say and do that (not what his lawyer claimed), then I would think her behavior would be reprehensible, and should be condemned for it. Don't you?

As a female I gotta say this chick is not a victim. It's crowded and he was trying to get to the bar. She moved to block him. They exchanged words and she raised her fist to him. He grabbed her arm to prevent her from swinging and she tried to kick him in the groin. She then hits him, so he hits her back. I've seen many crazy bitches attack men and think it's ok because they're female. If you put yourself and that situation and strike a man then you deserve what you get, IMO. Women want equality, right? This double standard poo is ridiculous. Yes, he should have walked away. She shouldn't have raised her fist. Assault is assault. They both engaged, they both deserve equal punishment under the law.

i agree 100%. But since it's coming from you, I doubt your valid points will get you accused of supporting domestic violence.

Objectively speaking, if someone was truly gender nuetral, all you would see in this video are two dumbasses tryingr to get to the bar. This would happen with two guys, this would have happened with two girls, as some have pointed out, the roles could have been reversed if one was a small gay man getting decked vs a big butch.

I still think even if it was 2 Females or 2 Males, there is no point to punch someone like that. It is a skirmish, not an actual fight. If it was an actual fight between 2 people and they were exchanging blows, then that type of punch is fine. The punch he did reminds me of a punch that a person does when you accidently bump into them or step on their shoes, it is a "How Dare You Do That To Me.... RAR... I'm Going To Show My Manhood, You Don't Disrespect Me"  "Do You Know Who I Am?" type of punch. If you are really that "BadAss" or "Boxer" then you shouldn't have to worry about fighting. I know professional MMA Fighter and Boxers that wouldn't punch someone like that over a Bar Encounter.

BTW, this is what was said by one of the FSU football players from another Incident

“They kept telling me they were football players,” the woman said. “They kept telling me to Google them. They told me they were football players and they could buy me in two years.”

See the Attitude I am talking about? IDK if you are a Football player or not, you don't have the right to do whatever you want.

Thanks for weighing in, but I totally disagree with you. Yes, she is a victim. That's what the police determined. I posted earlier in the spread speculating he was the one who committed assault because he grabbed her first before anything else happened. Sure enough I was right. Who cares if the woman balled up her fist...how intimating. And again, not a crime. Oh, and that's so unfortunate she blocked this 19 year olds opportunity to get another drink at the bar.  Quit making excuses for these low life's. He punched a woman in the face. His behavior is unacceptable and that's why he was correctly charged! Oh, and just since this thread started another fsu player is charged for repeatedly punching a woman in the face. This is a serious problem.

The ultimate authority has spoken.

His mother.

And now De'Andre Johnson is singing a lot different tune than his lawyer did.

"Well you’re right, there is no explanation for that,

I totally should have walked away

,” Johnson told Michael Strahan, via Justin Barney of Jacksonville.com. “I’m sorry. If I could do it all over again I would.”

Johnson rejected the notion that the alleged use of a racial slur by the victim provoked the punch.

“It doesn’t matter [about that],” Johnson said. “What matters is that I shoudn’t have raised my hands to her. I should have walked away.”

Meanwhile, Johnson’s mother, Pamela Jones, said she didn’t raise her children to be violent. So she understandably was upset when she heard about the situation.

“I wanted to jump through the phone and wring his neck,” Jones said.

De'Andre Johnson admits he should have walked away

It's one thing to anger the police, a major university and the NFL, but God help you if you piss off Mom.

LOL! I'm sure she was furious. She saw her chances at her NFL dream home flushed down the drain with that punch.

She's not dodging Cyborg. Cyborg won't make the weight. She doesn't want to fight RR at 135 because that's an advantage to RR. We may have successfully derailed this thread.

The difference between men cutting weight, and women cutting weight is astronomical.  A woman cutting 10 lbs. is probably similar to a man cutting 50 lbs.

Women, in most cases, have a lower body weight than men.  They also, naturally, carry a higher percentage of body fat, and less muscle mass, than men.

Look at Cyborg when she makes her fighting weight, which is 145, and see if you think she can cut another 10 lbs.

    • First of all the out was not caught because XL slipped and was the only person who could have caught that ball.  I'm not sure where you get that it was almost intercepted but go ahead and believe your story. The kick was in the direction we wanted the ball from the opening kickoff.  Do you think Fitzpatrick didn't try several kicks in that direction before the game and after half?  Do you think we just winged it.  Come on, OK so he missed one earlier.  Kickers can't adjust.  You make it sound like it was a wing and a pray. I saw the game.  Yes and we still got 21 yard from the running game.  We also got two first downs via that pass.  So it isn't like it was 100% we were going to run.   You have your blinders on and hate BY so much that you can't give him any credit because it defeats your narrative that he completely sucks.   What I have yet to here is you 100% for sure solution.  Which QB are you going to bring in that GUARANTEES that he'll be better than BY.  See the difference between you and me is I understand that he isn't the greatest QB to play the game.   But he has strengths and he continues to win whether you like it or not.  You and I have been on this forum for many years and agreed and disagreed on many topics.  I don't think I have ever seen you so filled with so much hatred for a player than BY.   I'm just going to leave it here to agree to disagree because you aren't going to change my outlook and I definitely am not going to change yours.  I do appreciate no personal attacks.  Someone said it earlier.  Ride with our game manager until a Mahomes falls into our laps.
    • It's not the only issue. She said it was the "biggest" issue. lol
    • The key difference being expectation. Jake was basically an afterthought of a free agent signing. Bryce is a guy we mortgaged the franchise on to be THE GUY. Not to mention a different era of football before all the rule changes to benefit the passing game. I don't care how we win either. I just realize that the odds of continuing to win in today's NFL with this level of QB play are very low. If I knew for sure that the Panthers had already decided to pursue other options at QB this off-season I could breathe a sigh of relief but of course they're not going to say that publicly.
