Would you take these passing stats for Cam this season?

if you add in rushing numbers and tds that is an excellent season.

4k total yards, 28 total tds and 11 picks (guesstimating) is fuging great especially for the kind of O we run.

Honestly i'm not looking at numbers for Cam even if its a good correlation to what he does on the field. What i'm looking for is better touch on his passes to move the chains. Checkdowns, and intermediate passes. I'm not worried about his long ball, he has it when he has time to throw the ball, step up in the pocket and set his feet and have a receiver that can actually make a play on the ball a la smitty circa 2011. (the interior play should be better which will allow this).

Cam being healthy is going to be major and i'm expecting him to make a giant leap in play recognition and better touch on his throws. I want him to be the consistent general on the field that we've seen glimpses of when he has time in the pocket. That is the big if this season, time in the pocket. O line needs to step up and Oher needs to be adequate. This is the best receiving core we have had talent wise since he has been here.

Also, Cam needs to realize that just because he is getting paid the most on the team doesn't mean he has to do everything. Which he has stated in interviews that he realizes that. But we all know how Cam is which is a concern of mine tbh. Although, sometimes we will need him to take over games by himself especially in the playoffs if our O sputters. Love Cam as a person and player and hope he balls out this year and takes that leap that QBs tend to take in years 5-7. Cam has shown in spurts that he is one of the best in the business and has also shown he has a long way to go. It's around the time that he needs to put it all together for us to go where we want to go.

I actually think those numbers are possible. However, I do hope his yards and TDs are a bit higher if he has 11 INTS.

Anyway, with our focus not heavily on slinging the ball around 40+ times a game, I see this stat line as pretty possible. If we get back to running EFFECTIVELY with our actual RBs, then I think the stat line is better.

With that being said. It doesn't matter either way if we can't win games.

Yeah! If you add in his rushing yards, and rushing touchdowns, that's would be a great season (stat wise)! However, I would be a bit disappointed about his 22 passing touchdowns, I'd like to see Newton throw for 30+. I say (if Shula doesn't hold him back), Cam could easily do that!

Here's what I expect from him this year:

61%, 4000 yards, 30 TD, 12 INT (at most)

Really hoping and have a feeling he will do even better. Not necessarily more yards or TDs, but higher comp % and lower INT.
