Brandon Williams and Deandre Presley injured

I think both have been injured awhile.  IIRC, Williams missed a lot of OTAs?

Here's a recent Rotoworld piece:

Panthers TE Brandon Williams (groin surgery) will be limited when training camp opens next week.
Williams underwent a minor procedure in June and is expected back for the second week of camp. It's a note for preseason DFS players to file away. Williams, a former college basketball player and athletic freak, logged a heavy 58 snaps in last year's exhibition opener and produced 3-50-1. Be sure he's healthy before using him this year. Jul 23 - 10:45 AM

And from July 23: this on both Williams & Presley

Rivera said two injured players will not be ready when the Panthers begin camp – backup tight end Brandon Williams (groin) and reserve wideout De’Andre Presley (shin splints).

Angelo Wright, Williams’ agent, said Williams underwent minor surgery in June and should be ready by the end of the second week of camp.

Rivera said Presley’s injury is similar to the stress fracture in his left leg that caused him to begin last season on the physically unable to perform list.

Presley missed the first nine games while on the PUP list. He returned to play in four games before ending the season on injured reserve after sustaining a concussion against Cleveland.

If the final WR/TE spot came down to Williams, Bersin and Cotchery, who would you pick?

Tough not to go for the Crotch every time. Most yards. Higher catch %, Way more plays over 20 yards.

Plus all the fair catches. Jeeeez.

Swole would be my #2 simply because of the position, But he's not #1 because eventually they are going to pee test him.

Brandon Williams has so much potential, but he hardly ever get any playing time.  Maybe he's not the greatest practice player, but by now I just want to see him on the field.  What's the point of having him on the team any more if he never sees the field?

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
