Maybe I've just missed all of it, but I can't remember hearing a thing about him so far in training camp and barely anything from OTAs... which is odd, considering this is the first offseason I can remember him fully participating in a damn while... well, honestly, I can't even fuging remember the last time he practiced in OTAs and training camp.

Anyone know how he's been looking?  We've heard tons about CAP and how good he's looking, but what about Stew now that he's the #1 feature back for the first time ever, and actually practicing for the first time in God knows how long.  We used to always get daily updates on how many thousands of miles he was logging on his stationary bike.

Looking for him to do big things this year.

With him making it this far with no injury...give him a little run in the preseason, but shut him down quick to preserve him.  We've seen what he can do when healthy, and the offense is going to need a great run game in a big way.

Let Fozzy, Todman, and CAP sort the depth chart out for the remainder of the time.

Stew looks great too. He looks to be in great shape and his cuts are quicker than ever. There's not much to see due to the fact the defense doesn't attempt to bring runners to the ground. We all know how good JStew is at breaking tackles. He can make people miss or go right through you. The reason CAP has been impressing is because he looks faster than everyone thought. He has an impressive 2nd gear to hit for a big gainer. Another thing I noticed is CAP is very much a down hill runner as well. He's not going down by a single tackler and when we does go down he's getting 2 extra yards.

you can see from his Auburn highlights that he always seems to bounce off of a tackler and fall forward for extra yards. he rarely gets taken down behind the line.

I need to go and watch some highlights. I've already noticed he seems to have a knack for embracing contact and keeping his balance. He prepares for the hit and just keeps on truckin'. I'm so excited for this season. If our backs can demand the attention of the linebackers and safeties it's going to make it easy for Cam and our receivers to hit on big plays.

Stewart it the catalyst for this offence this year.  They are going to ride him IMO.

Yeah I think they'll be giving him around 15 carries a game. He can do a lot of damage with that. I hope they'll try to get him the ball in space via screens and dump offs too. IMO Jstew and Cam are our biggest threats in space. For some reason our receivers never seem to break too many tackles. I want Kelvin to start nailing DBs with a stiff arm. They shouldn't even be able to touch him with his strength, size, and wing span.

    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
    • It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
