Trades for WR

Trades for WR, "feasting on corpses" edition. What the Panthers need to look for are teams staring at a burning dumpster fire of a season, or young players in the final years of their cheap contracts. They're going to have to surrender picks and take on cap. There is no good option here unless you're willing to risk flushing the season in a year Carolina can easily win the NFC South with a competent offense.

The 49ers are completely dead in the water and need talent everywhere. They just brought in Torrey Smith, so maybe they'd be willing to part with Anquan Boldin. He carries a cap hit this year of 6.9 million with some dead cap space the next two years. The Panthers have the most cap space in the league heading into next season, so maybe San Fran would trade him to the Panthers for some cap relief. This would immediately bring in a big veteran who can run all the routes, make catches, and even mentor Funchess some.

On the other hand, they also have Jerome Simpson, who just got suspended for six games for weed. His contract is inconsequential. He's a physical freak that has all the tools, he just really loves smoking weed. the Panthers schedule starts off easy before that big showdown with Seattle. He could be a nice boon for us in october, assuming he can stop fuging having weed delivered to his house.

The Redskins are a complete dumpster fire again and will be looking to rebuild again soon. They might be willing to part ways with Desean Jackson. He's currently rehabbing a shoulder injury and only costs about 8 million this year. That's pretty good for maybe the best deep threat in the game. Again, he's not going to replace Benjamin from size and length perspective; it's about getting capable people in here. He's also just about the only person in the league Cam can't overthrow.

Outside of that, Jeremy Kerley has been grumbling in NY and the Jets beat writers are mentioning he might be on the block. His contract is inconsequential. He's a smaller z type burner guy, but has shown more than Corey Brown.

The best players from those dumpster fire teams have already been poached, or they have lots of mileage and big contracts (Boldin). Our answer is on our roster.

This may be like 2004 when Smith went down. Moose ended up posting his best year ever and Keary Colbert posted his best year as well. Our record wasn't pretty, but those guys showed up.

these are sensible moves that have to be made now.

The real huddle reaction is hoping some undrafted free agent from dick lick nowhere is the second coming of Rod Smith.

I've been here long enough to see more than my fair share of huddle bromances and they never pan out at all. even worse if they went to one of the many local colleges none of you people are smart enough to get in to.

Every gamecock fan on here needs to search the archives for Armanti Edwards mentions just as a cautionary tale before you start crowning Byrd.

Muhsin Muhammad was already a pro bowler and had been in the league for years when 2004 came around. The Panthers don't have anyone like that on the roster.
