I have one scheduled for Friday, any tips or advice?

Thanks

I'd do it in San Diego.

Just sayin'.

No Needle, No Scalpel Vasectomy

In No Needle No Scalpel vasectomy, we use a spray injector to deliver anesthesia to numb the area, as well as a special device to spread the tissue eliminating the scalpel, this new technique reduces even further the low complication rate of conventional vasectomy.

With no-needle no-scalpel technique, we expose each vas through a small opening in the scrotum. The small opening in the dime-sized area of anesthetized skin is made with a special surgical instrument, one tip makes a pinpoint opening, then the two tips are used to spread and enlarge the opening to about one fourth of an inch. Since blood vessels in the skin are spread apart rather than cut, bleeding is less than when a scalpel is used, no stitches are required, and the opening is usually sealed closed by the next day.

Once each vas tube is delivered through the scrotal opening, it is divided with an electrical cauterizer. Nothing is removed. The ends of the divided vas are placed out of alignment and kept from rejoining by applying a small clip to the sheath surrounding the vas so that one end stays inside the sheath, the other outside. Procedure time is approximately fifteen to twenty minutes.

not sure why but there was a hot nurse just a few feet away. shave beforehand. not your face either hero.

lots of ice, just rest on the couch all wkd and try not to be an idiot and do stuff and end up with apricot scrotum.

final piece of advice is do NOT watch anything funny. trust me.

When I went for the consultation the Dr. set up the appointment for the following week. He wrote me a prescription for 15 pain pills and 2 Valium. He said to take the Valium an hour or so before the procedure. All went well with the vasectomy except when I went home I had like 3 pain pills left. (Hey if you got 'em)

I was fine after a week and even went to Swallow Falls. I came very close to getting sucked down and drowned but that's another story. My nuts were fine.

    • I mean, in theory Bryce could get over the hump. That aside, you have to know that due to the situation we are going to give him another year. From some perspectives, it just makes sense. I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with it, but it's not like the draft is chock full of franchise QBs. I'm thinking that only one, the consensus top pick, is destined to be the only one in this draft (and some people don't believe in him). All we can do is sure up the room with an FA (Pickett) and take a swing or two and hope (maybe the dawg Pavia). 2027 should bring better options if it comes to that.
    • Let's be honest here. We have one WR on this team that would be in the top 3 of ANY other team. And he was a rookie last year. I love Coker but he is an often injured UDFA. He wouldn't have even gotten a chance on other teams. The rookie injury would have bounced him around the league for the next 5 years until he stopped trying to make a roster. It's a numbers game for most teams and he would have (at best) been on some team's practice squad. But Carolina has been so devoid of talent at the position, that we didn't have much of a choice. Bryce leaves a lot of questions but to say he hasn't elevated anyone isn't true. No WR has left Carolina since he's started and did better on another team. Not one. And there are several to choose from. Coincidence? Maybe. Probably not.
