heck yeah, THE Dallas Walker!

Nothing like adding a 27 year old TE that has never logged a NFL stat to show you mean business! ....when your hopeful starting DE goes down

Gettleman definitely got his eyes on that 'ship!

Usually I'd back this sentiment, but theres nothing on the market right now, and the best bet we'd have at a respectable DE would be after final cuts.

For people wondering why they did this now, remember that for Frank to make it to IR without waivers he would have to be kept on the 53 man roster, then sent to IR.  Doing that would mean that we would have to clear our 4th DE (or whatever 53rd player) through the waiver wire before he could be added to the roster.  On top of that the odds of FA being claimed are lower because he already has two strikes with the drug policy and will have basically missed two seasons.  He also won't be under contract, but would be available to use one of the RFA tenders.

It is different for KB where it makes no sense to risk him because another team would certainly claim him.  There we will likely be putting our last WR onto the waiver wire, but I think that's fairly safe for our team (not bashing what I think will be Boykin, just saying).

It should be uncomfortable to sit on the Iron Armchair GM Throne

He's never logged an NFL stat and he's already as productive and Frank Alexander has been for us

I trust Gettleman more than I do you. There's reasons for every move made whether we understand it or not. Let the people in charge do their job.

You are probably right, Walker is probably a natural lefty...

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
