Other Team's Cuts

Mr. Scot

That's right; Lucas, Washington, and DGB were all briefly teammates in college.

Keep an eye on Oakland (James Dockery) and Tennessee (Byron Bell). We've currently broken even on compensatory-relevant players, but one of those guys getting cut would likely eliminate the chance of comp. picks for us altogether.

Brown would be cut from the majority of teams in the NFL..

Byrd didn't get to play any as a WR in the pre season.. We want Brown who does not look smooth as a WR what so ever.. to be our guy. I doubt we sign anyone but someone to compete with the Bersin Boykin type slow hand non YAC guys

Do some of you even watch football?

Washington was known for his drops in college and so far in the NFL it seems he can't cure them. So I don't know. Rather go with sure handed Bersin, Funchess,  Ginn, Cotchery,  meltdown brown,  and who ever makes the team.  I don't see any cuts from other teams being better than what we currently have. Brown will come around. Could be a sophomore slump. We have Olsen, he's our #1.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
