What if the Panthers had drafted Andrew Luck?

Reading the thread title, I said "Oh boy, here we go" (I thought this crap wouldn't start until the MNF game in November).  It's actually a spoof article of what-ifs that has Cam taking the Broncos to Super Bowl glory while Luck is in Carolina.

Regardless, who cares because Cam Newton is our quarterback (apply sniffle, sniffle, Terrell Owens voice here) and that's all that matters!

So the reason RG3 became RGKnee, Peyton Manning didn't win another Superbowl, and Chip Kelly's seems to struggle a lot is because the Panthers drafted Newton? And the only thing holding Newton back from offensive greatness is not having The Golden Calf of Bristol as his TE? And as an added bonus the only thing Panther fans get in this utopian alternate reality is confusion and Taylor Swift?

Well, alright then.

    • There are no juggernauts this year. Feels like everyone in the playoffs field is gonna have a puncher's chance. All the best teams still have very obvious flaws.
    • It does vary, and depends on their health and other factors. I mean you really can’t look at the schedule in August and know what you will be facing mid season or even early Any time because stuff happens. It is any given Sunday relative to that. Early this year, KC was beatable. Will they be in December? And we don’t know if they’ll be motivated, or out of it. One team, that is likely a different team in 10 weeks. That’s an example what I mean.  Far as “decent” we know who the good teams are. We could hit a good team on a bad day, and we could have a really good one. It happens. All I’m saying. And I don’t expect it not to, for random teams. That’s about it. Predicting wins is an imperfect pastime.
    • To the folks the last couple years who were boosting up Josh Allen and shitting on Cam Newton. This one goes out to you.
